On the evening of January 15, during the Fall 2024 Semester Recognition Ceremony, the Consulate General of China presented seven scholarships to outstanding students majoring in Chinese Language at FPT University.
The Fall Semester Recognition Ceremony is a traditional event at FPT University that acknowledges the remarkable efforts and achievements of students in academics, research, culture, and sports. The Fall 2024 semester (September–December 2024) celebrated over 100 outstanding individuals and groups.
At the event, Mr. Tu Chau, Deputy Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, personally awarded scholarships to seven excellent Chinese Language majors: Nguyen Ngoc Tran, Nguyen Thi Phuong Tuyen, Pham Tu My, Nguyen Kim Thanh Nha, Le Vu Viet Kha, and Pham Thi Ngoc Ha.
FPT University also honored its top-performing students with the prestigious “Golden Toad” title, awarded to the most outstanding student in each academic discipline. The recipients included Nguyen Tran Nhat Khoa (Language Studies), Nguyen Van Phong (Engineering), and Phan Ba Loc (Economics). These individuals were celebrated not only for their impressive academic records but also for their active participation in university activities.
FPT University students excelled in scientific research and competitions. A team comprising Phan Huynh Vu Bao, Nguyen Tuong Vi, and Tong Anh Hao successfully presented their research at the 6th International Conference on Modern Educational Technology (ICMET 2024) in Tokyo, Japan.
In other competitions, Team Cham won second place in the “Gen Z and Tourism in the Digital Era” contest. Tran Thanh Nhan secured second place in the ICPC 2024 Northern Online Programming Contest, third place in the F-Talent Code 2024 competition, and third place in the ICPC Asia Hanoi 2024 Student Programming Contest. Meanwhile, the team led by Tran Khanh Kiet and Nguyen Huu Luong achieved third place at the Water Hackathon 2024.
In 2024, FPT University students not only excelled academically but also achieved remarkable success in other fields such as culture, arts, and sports. Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy was crowned Miss Vietnam National 2024, bringing immense pride to the university. Additionally, Le Quoc Viet won the championship of The Face University 2024.
At the Can Tho Student Sports Festival 2025, the university’s women’s basketball team clinched first place, while the men’s soccer and basketball teams secured second place.
In the FPT Edu Martial Arts Competition, Team Falcon won a Gold Medal in the Martial Arts Performance category. Other standout achievements included Breath of Stone earning Gold in the Men’s Barehand Combat, FUCT taking Gold in the Women’s Barehand Combat, and individuals like Nguyen Huu Quoc Hiep and Le Thi Huynh Nhu achieving top honors in solo categories.
