In order to seek more opportunities for cooperation with businesses, FPT University held a workshop called “Business Push up” on the morning of May 5th. A large number of participants attended the event and exchanged views on: Recruiting high quality students from FPT University.
The event was attended by some representatives from prestigious firms such as EDX Group, Rikkeisoft, Delco company, An Viet Food, Bao Minh Food and X36 Factory under Ministry of Defence, etc. They shared the development orientations of their enterprises as well as the demands for high quality employees, especially students from universities.
Although the number of graduates is increasing, enterprises still face many difficulties in recruiting ideal employees. Attending the workshop by FPT University, many businesses expressed their desire to “order” high quality students even when they were freshmen.
“Enterprises have many vacancies but it is hard to find candidates to fit jobs. For new graduates, we have to spend a lot of time choosing and training them. Therefore, we want to work with the university to engage in giving careers guidance to students in their first year,” said Nguyen Dinh Hung, CEO of EDX.
Many other companies also expressed their wish to recruit juniors and seniors of FPT University. Besides their recruitment needs, the companies hoped to get support in some areas such as customer management, brand extension, production development etc.
At the workshop, FPT University played a role as an enterprise to exchange views and propose some solutions to problems facing enterprises. FPT University presented two topics including “Applying marketing for sales promotion and branding” and “Applying technology to solve business problems”. Accordingly, some ideas and data students provided when setting up their graduation projects were used for these topics. These drew much attention of the enterprises. Many opinions related to the problems encountered by them were discussed.
Particularly, the workshop was attended by economics students from FPT University. They not only exchanged views with the businesses to know their real demands but also had an opportunity to do plenty of extra learning outside of university.
“I am very honoured and excited to be attending the workshop. This is a great opportunity for us to meet and talk to the leaders of successful businesses face to face. They have been further expanding my thinking about Marketing and Business,” said Ngo Thanh Dai, Head of FPT University Business Club.
