Vietnam and other member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on August 9 held a ceremony to mark ASEAN’s 56th founding anniversary. ASEAN Day is the annual commemoration of the founding of the ASEAN – a regional intergovernmental organization that fosters cooperation and integration among its ten member states in Southeast Asia.
On the 8th of August each year, member countries gather to celebrate the establishment of ASEAN. Throughout the ASEAN Day celebrations, member nations participate in various activities to promote regional solidarity and showcase ASEAN’s achievements and objectives. This occasion serves as a vital platform to emphasize the significance of regional collaboration in addressing shared challenges and fostering economic growth and cultural understanding.
To celebrate the ASEAN Day, FPT University contributed the performances of traditional musical instruments in the diverse range of activities as follow:
ASEAN Fun Walk 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City
The event took place on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, District 1, with more than 1,000 participants, including officials of the Ho Chi Minh city government representatives from foreign diplomatic corps and local students in the city.
FPT University contributed the performances of traditional musical instruments on this day.
After enjoying a variety of musical and dance performances, the participants walked along Nguyen Hue, headed by Ho Chi Minh city Chairman Phan Van Mai and Indonesian Consul General Agustaviano Sofjan.
