The first FPT Education Global Remote Internship Scholarship (FEGRIS) has come to an end by the Closing Ceremony held by FPT Education Global last Friday (November 12, 2021). The event had witnessed the participation of 4 interns from Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Thailand, and representatives from Telkom University (Indonesia), Providence University (Taiwan), and FPT Education Global.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

FEGRIS 2021 – the first internship scholarship for international students<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Beginning the Closing Ceremony, Santini Cahya Siti (Sansan) – an Indonesian intern from Telkom University shared with the audience about her journey of working at FPT Education Global. \u201cIt was better than my expectations before joining the program. I\u2019ve enhanced my communication skills, research skills, time-management skills, and negotiation skills,\u201d shared Sansan. \u201cBefore, I thought that I was suitable for working alone because I could be active in completing the tasks. After joining FEGRIS, I found that having a teammates is something amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

FEGRIS is a 3-month program with an aim to provide students with a professional working environment experience through remote internship format. Right after open registration, the program attracted the interest of 13 participants of 6 universities from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Taiwan. Seven among them received the FEGRIS scholarship (4 for 100% and 3 for 50%).<\/p>\n

After receiving the confirmation letter for the scholarship, students joined the Orientation Session which provides full information and the tasks that they need to complete. During the internship, students have the opportunity to work in Market Research position, under the mentorship of FEG\u2019s representatives, with check-in and check-out activities for work progress report every week. The program is divided into\u00a05 phases: Getting to know about the team, Goal & Expectation, Individual Project, Group Project and Feedback & Closing.<\/b>\u00a0Students also have the reflection period to review what they have gained, what needs to improve, and also difficulties during the task.\u00a0 Apart from that, there are\u00a0Career Orientation<\/b>\u00a0sessions with essential knowledge to support students identify their goals and motivation for future career and\u00a0Culture Race\u00a0<\/b>– a multicultural activity so that interns can understand more about each other by learning their different background.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Sharing about the program, Mr.Mark Lan – Regional Coordinator (Asia Region) of Province University (Taiwan) said: \u201cThis program is so great that I want to promote to our future students in Providence University as well since I already see the journey, the happiness, the fruitful outcome from our student Hanh and San San. This is the thing that probably we must let more people know. The most impressive thing is everything is very well-organized. In the beginning, there were info sessions, and then there\u2019s individual work and teamwork. Students have a chance to experience various working environment and enhance essential skills. I’ve noticed how successful it has shaped students’ mindset and how it helps in career success.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hanh Luong – Vietnamese student in Province University (Taiwan) shared about what she gained during the FEGRIS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Hanh Luong (Tracy) – a Vietnamese student who is now studying in Province University (Taiwan) also confesses FEGRIS was her memorable internship experience. Not only gaining academic knowledge, she also had new friends who come from different nationalities, who are the new sisters from different races. \u201cI would like to send my special thanks to Mr. Mark Lan – who introduced me to this opportunity, Mr. Hai Vu – the Director of Global Mobility, FPT Education Global, Ms. Ha Ta – Coordinator of FEGRIS and also my mentor, other FEG\u2019s staffs for helping me in my internship,\u201d shared Hanh.<\/p>\n

The FPT Education Global Remote Internship Scholarship (FEGRIS) 2021 successfully promoted FEG\u2019s virtual programs and enhanced partnership with university partners, bringing the FPT Education Global\u2019s slogan \u201cYour global journey starts here\u201d beyond Vietnam’s borders. In the future, FPT Education Global will continue the mission of a leading educational institution to help international students have more extraordinary experiences.<\/p>\n
