They also offered solutions and new perspectives on building a career path.

Addressing whether students should specialize in one field or explore multiple interdisciplinary areas, Mr. Pham Tuan Hai stated that the first milestone in a career path is to excel in the chosen major. Students need to build a solid foundation and become experts in their selected field. After entering the workforce, continuous effort is required to improve oneself in related areas.

One significant challenge for students and professionals is effective time management. Drawing from years of experience, both speakers agreed that there is no fixed formula for organizing and allocating time. Mr. Tran Nguyen Dang Khoa noted, “Young people’s competition is time; older people’s competition is experience. I encourage students to maximize their time by learning through podcasts and audiobooks while commuting or exercising.”

From Mr. Pham Tuan Hai’s perspective, young people tend to overthink, creating numerous reasons to procrastinate and self-satisfy. He advised students not to choose comfort while young but to devote their youthful energy to honing skills and developing. Overcoming this challenging phase will make the path ahead smoother.

During the Q&A session, student Hong Anh (K17, majoring in Digital Art and Design) asked about managing teams with strong personalities. Mr. Dang Khoa suggested that a group with many strong individuals can easily encounter conflicts but can achieve remarkable success if managed well. Therefore, in teamwork, it’s essential to respect differences, reach consensus, and use voting methods when necessary. Agreeing with this view, Mr. Hai emphasized that emotional control is a crucial skill for leaders. Decisions should be based on collective benefits rather than personal feelings.

After the program, many students expressed enthusiasm for the practical lessons shared by the speakers. Nguyen Minh Luat (K17, majoring in Digital Art and Design) shared, “I found the talk show content very practical and meaningful. I realized that choosing between deep learning, interdisciplinary studies, or learning directly from leaders isn’t fixed but depends on each career stage. Instead of focusing on a single field, in the booming AI era, we need to expand our knowledge across various related areas. The most important thing is to continuously learn and develop independence to create more opportunities for ourselves.”

Thai Tu Linh (K17, majoring in Digital Art and Design) reflected, “After the speakers’ sharing, I gained many valuable lessons on self-development at work. What impressed me most was the importance of proactiveness. I realized that instead of just following instructions, we must seek opportunities, ask questions, and continuously improve our capabilities to adapt to the current era.”

The talk show “F-Alumni Connect: Level up từ sinh viên đến boss” provided practical insights from the speakers and inspired students regarding career orientation.
