Nguyen Khanh Linh, born in 1991, has been selected to join the Google Developer Expert (GDE) network.<\/p>\n

On the morning of April 9, Google announced that Khanh Linh is not only the first Vietnamese woman to become a Google Developer Expert, but also the first GDE in the field of generative AI within the machine learning category for the year 2025.<\/p>\n

The Google Developer Expert (GDE) program is a global network of technology experts chosen by Google, recognized for their deep technical knowledge, real-world experience, and proven contributions to the tech community. Prior to Khanh Linh, Vietnam had nine male GDEs specializing in areas such as AI\/Machine Learning, Android, Cloud, Workspace, and Angular.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis recognition reflects her extensive expertise in both core research and practical applications\u2014particularly in areas such as large language models (LLMs), MLOps, and scalable AI systems\u2014as well as her commitment to leveraging technology to solve societal challenges,\u201d Google stated.<\/p>\n

Nguyen Khanh Linh is a former student of the Software Engineering program at FPT University, holds a Master\u2019s degree in AI Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and has made notable academic contributions to the tech field. These include two scientific publications: a novel evaluation method for knowledge-based dialogue systems and a widely cited survey on empathetic conversational systems in the information domain.<\/p>\n

In a 2024 message to the developer community, Linh shared that she has been passionate about computing since childhood, began learning to code in late middle school, and pursued a degree in software engineering at university.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was inspired by breakthroughs like IBM Watson and DeepBlue\u2014AI systems that demonstrated incredible capabilities in understanding and interacting with humans,\u201d Linh said, explaining how these inspired her to delve deeper into how machines comprehend human language.<\/p>\n

In 2011, Linh built her first chatbot. While she described the project as simple, it revealed to her the potential of AI to solve complex problems and improve human life. She began exploring the fields of natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence more deeply. \u201cI believe AI can bring about profoundly positive impacts,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

With 14 years of experience in NLP, machine learning, and data science, Linh currently serves as Head of AI at Obello\u2014a US-based graphic design platform specializing in AI and machine learning solutions for design automation. In 2024, she was also recognized as a \u201cTop Voice\u201d on LinkedIn for her high-quality, insightful posts on the professional social network.<\/p>\n
