Call for Papers

The European Alliance for Innovation – FPT International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Technologies 2026 (EAI FISAT 2026) will be held at FPT University, Ho Chi Minh City campus, Vietnam, from November 25 to 27, 2026. It serves as an international forum on intelligent systems, data-driven technologies, and digital innovation, covering areas such as AI, engineering systems, semiconductor technologies, digital business, and related law and policy. Accepted papers will be published in the EAI/Springer Innovations in Communication and Computing series (ISSN 2522-8609) and indexed in Scopus database (Scimago Q4 ranking).

Paper Submission

Papers should be submitted through Confy+ Submission System (EAI FISAT 2026), and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).

  • Full/Regular papers should be 12–15 pages in length (excluding appendices, references, and acknowledgements).
  • Short papers should be 6–11 pages in length (excluding appendices, references, and acknowledgements).

* Please note that additional pages will be subject to an extra charge for each extra page uploaded.

All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection.

Keynote Speakers

Keynote Speaker
Prof.
Nguyen H. Tran
Associate Professor, The University of Sydney, Australia
Federated Learning Distributed AI Scalable Systems

Dr. Tran specializes in distributed intelligence, federated learning, and scalable AI systems. His research focuses on efficient large-scale model inference, resource-efficient learning, and real-world AI applications, particularly in next-generation communication networks and intelligent systems. He has contributed extensively to advancing collaborative and decentralized AI frameworks that enable scalable, reliable, and efficient deployment of intelligent services. In the conference, he will give a talk titled "Why LLM Inference Is a Networking Problem."

// Abstract
Large language model inference, despite its reputation as a compute problem, is fundamentally bottlenecked by memory bandwidth, and this single fact reshapes how distributed edge intelligence should be designed. In this keynote I argue that once inference moves off a single device and onto a swarm of heterogeneous edge clients sharing a remote verifier, the central question stops being “how do we run the model faster” and becomes “how do we fairly allocate a contended resource under uncertainty”: a problem networking solved twenty years ago. I make this case concrete through GoodSPEED (INFOCOM 2026), our recent work that reframes distributed speculative decoding as a proportional-fairness scheduling problem. I then situate GoodSPEED within a broader research program I call Edge Distributed Generalised Intelligence (Edge DGI), which asks (i) how heterogeneous edge devices can collectively learn, reason, and generalise, and (ii) what fundamental capacity bound limits what a distributed swarm can collectively know. The talk closes with open problems spanning privacy-preserving speculation, adversarial drafters, cross-modal extensions, and the theoretical work needed to tighten the Edge DGI capacity bound into a usable design principle.
