FPT University (FPTU) has established formal policies to promote universal, equitable, and inclusive access to educational opportunities, reflecting its commitment to inclusive education and lifelong learning. The policies provide a framework for ensuring non-discriminatory access to educational activities organised by the university, including free educational resources, public lectures, online learning opportunities, executive training programmes, and community outreach initiatives. This commitment is reflected in the Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning Policy and the Diversity & Inclusion Policy<\/em><\/strong>, issued by the University Council and the University\u2019s Scientific and Academic Council.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Policy Commitment to Universal, Inclusive, and Equitable Access<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Comprehensive and Equitable Access Policy, as stated in Chapter VIII – Article 36 of FPT University\u2019s Sustainable Development Policy [Lifelong learning access, updated 2026], states:<\/p>\n

\u201cAll educational activities organised by FPTU, whether held on-campus, online, or within the community, must be equally accessible to all individuals, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, age, immigration status, or socioeconomic background. FPTU is a socially responsible educational institution committed to promoting lifelong learning and guaranteeing equal and inclusive access to educational opportunities for everyone.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The policy applies across all 5 campuses and provides a common basis for community-focused educational initiatives organised by FPTU.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Activities Covered by the Policy<\/b><\/h3>\n

The policy provides for open and equitable access across the following areas:<\/span><\/p>\n

a. Free Access to Educational Resources<\/b><\/p>\n

  • The university provides the public with free access to open digital learning platforms, MOOCs, library databases, and on-campus learning facilities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Community members can register for guest access to digital platforms, attend open lectures, and participate in public seminars without discrimination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    b. Public Lectures and Community Education Events<\/b><\/p>\n

    • Public lectures, workshops, innovation talks, and SDG awareness events are publicly promoted and open to all individuals.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Where possible, accessibility measures such as sign language interpretation, online participation, livestreaming, and multilingual materials are provided.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      c. Executive, Professional, and Academic Training Programmes<\/b><\/p>\n

      • The university provides non-degree short courses in areas such as digital transformation, entrepreneurship, language skills, cybersecurity, and AI literacy. These programmes support workforce development and provide learning opportunities for those who are not university students.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Tuition-free or subsidised participation is available for disadvantaged groups.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        d. Outreach and Off-Campus Educational Access<\/b><\/p>\n

          • Monitoring and Accountability: The Office of Student Affairs, Lifelong Learning Committees, and campus-based clubs jointly monitor compliance with the policy.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Alignment with National and International Standards: The policy aligns with the Law on Education of Vietnam, International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the FPT Corporation\u2019s Code of Ethics and Compliance Charter.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            4. Policy as a Reflection of Core Values and SDG Commitments of FPTU<\/b><\/h3>\n
