On January 15, FPT University hosted a special event, “Khuc Xuan Ca,” to celebrate the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025. The event recreated the joyous atmosphere of the first Tet holiday after the Liberation of Hanoi on October 10, 1954.
The event featured two main segments, running from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM: a traditional fair in the morning and a vibrant music gala in the evening.
A standout activity at the fair was “Hao Khi Hoi Huong”, which recreated the image of soldiers returning to their villages after the liberation of Hanoi. The soldiers carried carefully wrapped gifts on traditional bamboo shoulder poles, evoking a nostalgic connection to the past.
Students also enjoyed taking photos at various nostalgic photo spots, featuring war-era posters and propaganda banners. The event offered a range of cultural performances and activities, including folk singing, bamboo dancing, toy figurine crafting, and calligraphy writing, all meticulously prepared to deliver an authentic experience.
Six booths operated by FPT University’s student clubs were named after the phrase “Dat – Nuoc – Viet – Nam – Doc – Lap”. Each booth carried its unique meaning, yet together they conveyed a unified message of national pride and solidarity.
Beyond traditional activities, the event also brought a vibrant and modern twist with a Flashmob dance performance by the organizing team. The venue was adorned with festive red and gold decorations, symbolizing the Lunar New Year, and upbeat music created a lively atmosphere that left a lasting impression on participants.
The evening gala featured two renowned Vietnamese artists: singer Trong Hieu and singer Hoang Ton. This marked the first appearance of both artists at an FPT University event.
Known as the “King of Hitmakers,” Hoang Ton thrilled the audience with top-charting songs such as Nuoc Hoa, Tinh Yeu Ngu Quen, Danh Cho Em, and Yeu Em Rat Nhieu. His R&B vocals, smooth choreography, and commanding stage presence had the crowd on their feet.
Adding to the excitement was DJ Tarus and MC Dinh Quoc Binh, alongside performances by FPT University’s student clubs, including the FPTU Guitar Club, FTIC Club, and Hebe Club. These acts incorporated historical themes, showcasing the nation’s rich heritage through creative expressions.
The “Khuc Xuan Ca” event was not only a chance for FPT University students to embrace the traditional Lunar New Year but also an opportunity to honor and preserve the nation’s heroic history. It served as a powerful reminder of the love and pride the younger generation of FPT University holds for their country.
