Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a rapidly growing trend, opening up numerous opportunities across various fields. With the goal of encouraging students to explore, research, and innovate, FPT University is organizing the Spring 2025 Scientific research Competition with the theme “Đinh AI – AI Đinh” (AI Peak – Peak AI). This theme reflects the spirit of conquest and innovation, aiming to develop creative solutions that contribute to the advancement of many sectors, such as healthcare, education, and business in the future.

The Spring 2025 Scientific Research Competition will take place from January 26th to April 12th. From January 26th to February 18th, students can register, select their topics, and begin their research journey. To support participants in enhancing their research and scientific paper presentation skills, the organizers will host an in-depth workshop on February 23rd, providing useful knowledge and methods. The full report submission phase will run from March 8th to March 29th, and the final round will be held on April 12th, where the top teams will defend their topics before a panel of experts.
The competition is divided into five subcommittees: Information Technology, Digital Art Design – Multimedia Communication, Economics – Business Administration, English Language, and Japanese Language. Each subcommittee focuses on a specific research area, allowing students to develop ideas and work on highly applicable topics. With its diversity of fields, the competition encourages students to apply technology to real-life scenarios, contributing to innovation in their respective research areas.
To participate, students need to register and select their topics online, submit their research reports on time, and present their papers during the final round. Each student is allowed to register for a maximum of two topics, and each topic can only be submitted to one subcommittee. The submission must follow the IEEE format (single column, up to 10 pages) and be presented in English to ensure professional standards and international integration.
Students can participate individually or in teams, with a maximum of three members per team. Each participant can register for up to two topics, but each topic can only be considered in one subcommittee.
The prize structure includes three levels of awards for each subcommittee. The First Prize is worth 10 million VND, the Second Prize is 6 million VND, and the Third Prize is 4 million VND. For the Information Technology subcommittee, if there are 10 or more reports, the number of prizes will be expanded to include two Second Prizes and two Third Prizes.
Participating in the Scientific Research Competition helps students unlock their potential, improve their research skills, and opens opportunities to connect with experts, mentors, and like-minded peers. Exceptional topics may receive support for further development and real-world application, making an impact on their academic records and offering further research opportunities.
The Scientific Research Competition at FPT University is held regularly every semester, including the Spring (January – May), Summer (May – September), and Fall (September – December) semesters. This is an academic playground for students passionate about research, with evaluations conducted by a panel of experts from various fields.
In the Fall 2024 semester, the competition attracted 26 outstanding topics across four subcommittees: Information Technology, Graphic Design – Multimedia Communication, Economics – Business Administration, and English Language. Notably, the Information Technology field dominated with 15 topics reaching the final round, showcasing serious investment and high real-world applicability.
