FPT University Welcomes University of Cambridge Representative, Strengthening Global Academic Connections

On April 17, in Ho Chi Minh City, FPT University hosted Ms. Vibhuti Jitendra Patel – Head of Development at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom – for a discussion on potential future collaborations.

As part of her visit, Ms. Vibhuti Jitendra Patel participated in a campus tour, experiencing first-hand the university’s innovative learning environment, modern facilities, and dynamic student life. She expressed deep admiration for the cultural performances by FPT University students, including traditional martial art Vovinam and folk musical instrument presentations. These performances not only showcased artistic talents but also highlighted the university’s commitment to preserving and promoting Vietnamese culture within an internationally-oriented academic setting.

During the working session, representatives of FPT University introduced Ms. Patel to the institution’s training programs, development orientation, and key academic and research activities. Both parties exchanged ideas and discussed cooperation opportunities aimed at expanding international exposure and exchange experiences for FPT University students in the near future.

Earlier, on April 15, Ms. Patel also visited the Hanoi campus of FPT University. She was warmly received by Dr. Nguyen Khac Thanh – Rector of the university, Dr. Nguyen Kim Anh – Vice Rector, along with members of the leadership team. The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, paving the way for promising collaborations between one of the world’s top-ranked universities and a pioneering private educational institution in Vietnam.

With a history of over 800 years, the University of Cambridge consistently ranks among the world’s top five universities according to QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education. Establishing partnerships with prestigious academic institutions like Cambridge not only enhances the brand of FPT University, but also creates valuable international learning opportunities for its students.

In March and early April alone, FPT University has welcomed delegations from multiple international universities across various continents. Notably, on March 24 and 30, the university hosted Ms. Louisa Ehrlich – Assistant Director of Global Partnerships and Recruitment at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO), USA. The two institutions discussed potential collaborative initiatives, focusing on plans to bring UNO students to FPT University for academic exchange, fostering intercultural connections and learning opportunities for students from both sides.

Previously, on March 28, FPT University also welcomed a delegation from Dhurakij Pundit University (Thailand). The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation, following the success of Level 6 English language programs held abroad in 2024. These programs allowed FPT University students to enhance their language proficiency in an international learning environment.
