FPT University Signs Cooperation Agreements with Two Thai Universities, Expanding International Learning Opportunities for Students

The newly signed agreements pave the way for multicultural learning experiences, access to advanced technologies, and enhanced global exposure for students at FPT University.

On May 16, as part of the 4th Meeting of the Vietnam–Thailand Joint Cabinet, FPT University signed a cooperation agreement with Khon Kaen University (Thailand). On the same day, during the Vietnam–Thailand Business Forum, FPT University also exchanged a memorandum of understanding with King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). Under the agreement with Khon Kaen University, both institutions agreed to strengthen collaboration in the field of semiconductor training and research — a key industry amid the ongoing global digital transformation. The cooperation will include: student training in the semiconductor sector; faculty exchange and teaching capacity development; joint research and development of semiconductor technologies; partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance practical outcomes; and other joint initiatives as mutually agreed upon.

In parallel, FPT University also signed a comprehensive agreement with KMUTNB. The two institutions pledged to advance cooperation across a wide range of disciplines, including social sciences, engineering, technology, and other mutually beneficial areas. Collaborative efforts will include joint research projects; academic conferences and workshops; student and faculty exchanges; academic resource and knowledge sharing; short-term programs such as training courses, summer/winter camps; internship opportunities, international joint training programs; and postgraduate development projects at the master’s and doctoral levels.

The agreements with Khon Kaen University and KMUTNB reflect FPT University’s strategic vision of global integration, while offering valuable opportunities for students. Through these partnerships, FPT University students will gain greater access to Thailand’s advanced education system via exchange programs, internships, and international study experiences. Academic exchanges between the institutions will foster a multicultural learning environment, helping students gain international exposure, enhance their expertise, and improve their language proficiency. At the same time, students will be able to expand their academic and professional networks across Southeast Asia.

These agreements contribute to expanding the international learning landscape for FPT University students, enabling them to develop a global mindset, sharpen their professional skills, and prepare to become future global citizens.
