Thanh Truc, a senior at FPT University Hanoi, spent three months studying and experiencing life at Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (Heidenheim, Germany).
She describes this period as one of the most wonderful and memorable experiences of her life.

Thanh Truc’s class was for international students, allowing her to learn alongside peers from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Mexico, South Africa, and other countries. This diversity facilitated quick bonding and mutual support, enriching her knowledge of not only European culture but also many global cultures.
During her three-month study period, Trúc embarked on exciting travels, exploring eight countries and over 20 European cities. She shared: “Each country was like a new friend, with new stories. For me, this has been a magical journey.
Truc made many international friends during her exchange program
Thanks to these travels, Trúc stepped out of her comfort zone and became more open to new opportunities. She experienced solo travel for the first time, sang Christmas carols with new friends at a train station at 4 a.m., and danced with strangers in Italy.
Even now, back in Vietnam, Trúc and her friends from her European journey stay in touch and eagerly anticipate future reunions in different countries to explore diverse cultures together.

For Thanh Truc, Europe was once a dream, with its picturesque and historic cities only seen through books, newspapers, and films. Before deciding to go on the exchange program, she had heard a lot about potential cultural shocks. However, once she began studying, she found that she adapted easily to the environment.
Truc attributes her smooth integration to her English language skills and presentation abilities developed at FPT University. Her open-mindedness and willingness to embrace new experiences also helped her connect with professors, classmates, and the academic program.

With support from FPT University, Thanh Truc successfully applied for a scholarship and received a 2,000 Euro grant during her studies. This financial support helped ease her expenses and allowed her to enjoy her trip more fully.
This experience has further motivated Thanh Truc to pursue her goal of graduate studies in Europe, continuing her personal development, and exploring beautiful new places.
