The Next Leader leadership training program gathered nearly 1,800 students who are class representatives from high schools across Da Nang City to participate
With the theme “Think Big – Lead Beyond,” the Next Leader program aims to develop a set of skills for young people to become the next generation of leaders. These skills include critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. This leadership training event is part of a series designed for students in Central Vietnam, with the first stop being high schools in Da Nang City.
The participating students were divided into four villages named “F-P-T-U” and embarked on a self-discovery journey with a series of exciting experiences, such as: large-scale games, treasure hunts, training on Artificial Intelligence, Vovinam martial arts, and traditional musical instrument experiences.
The activities in the program not only challenged the students’ quick thinking, dexterity, and problem-solving skills but also fostered teamwork—one of the essential elements in shaping the portrait of a new generation leader.
Nguyen Mai Linh, a student from Nguyen Van Thoai High School in Da Nang, shared: “Among all the challenges, the Vovinam martial arts competition was the most impressive experience for me. I learned how to manage a team, connect group members, and even some unique Vovinam moves. When I received the first-place prize, I was very surprised and incredibly proud of that achievement.”
One of the highlights of the event was the GenAI (Artificial Intelligence Generation) experience. Here, students were introduced to and guided by FPT University experts on how to use AI applications for learning, research, and entertainment.
With the exciting challenge “Create a Song with AI,” students not only applied theoretical lessons to real-life situations but also gained a deeper understanding of how artificial intelligence is integrated into everyday life, opening up new horizons for the future.
At the end of the program, 24 outstanding students were honored and awarded the “powerful black card” – a symbol of exclusive privileges at FPT University.
Holders of this card will receive benefits such as free access to a Coursera account, opportunities to join international experience programs in various countries, and a range of exclusive privileges related to using modern facilities and freely participating in exciting events at the university in 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Đang Nghia, Deputy Director of FPT University’s Da Nang Campus, shared after the program: “We can clearly feel the enthusiasm and positive energy that the high school students brought to Next Leader. This is proof that today’s youth not only possess intelligence but also have ambition and a progressive spirit. This motivates FPT University to continue its pioneering mission of creating a dynamic, modern, and internationally-oriented educational environment.”
The success of the Next Leader program in Da Nang once again affirms FPT University’s pioneering role in creating valuable platforms to help high school students develop soft skills and break through their personal limits.
