Bookworm Bowl 2025 promises a creative playground centered around English books, offering students a chance to nurture their love of reading while sharpening their language skills.
From April 13 to 18, the Preparatory English Department at FPT University will host the Bookworm Bowl 2025—a competition exclusively for students enrolled in foundational English classes. The event is designed to foster a passion for reading, particularly English-language books.
The competition features three main categories: Debate, Story Making, and Book Cover Art. The preliminary rounds will take place from April 13 to 18, with the final round scheduled for April 23 at the Penrose Lobby, Gamma Building, FPT University.
Through its diverse challenges, Bookworm Bowl provides students with opportunities to apply their vocabulary, reasoning, critical thinking, and English communication skills in a creative and engaging environment. From debating topics inspired by book content, crafting original stories drawn from favorite reads, to designing book covers and presenting ideas in English—each challenge deepens the connection between language, critical thinking, and reading culture. Participants not only enhance their English proficiency but also gain fresh and personal perspectives on the books they explore.
The total prize pool for the Debate category is VND 2,500,000. Both the Story Making and Book Cover Art contests offer prizes totaling VND 1,000,000 each.
Bookworm Bowl 2025 is more than just a competition—it’s a space for students to connect, learn from one another, and spread a shared passion for reading. It enriches knowledge and empowers students to explore their English abilities through storytelling, argumentation, and creative expression. If you’re a book lover eager to express yourself through writing, debate, and design, this is the stage for you.
