FPT University’s strategy of leveraging AI as a foundation for the development of educational technology has attracted the attention of many international partners, including prominent universities in Asia. Over five consecutive months from October 2024 to February 2025, FPT University has signed cooperation agreements in the fields of technology, AI, and semiconductor technology with several renowned universities in the region.
On October 22, 2024, FPT University signed a partnership agreement with the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). This agreement aims to promote research and the development of AI workforce, not only within the two institutions but also across the AI ecosystem in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. Under the framework of this cooperation, FPT, NUS, and industry enterprises plan to mobilize an investment of USD 50 million over the next five years to implement pioneering research projects, nurture talented individuals, and apply AI in practice. This collaboration enhances FPT University’s position in technology and creates opportunities for students to access advanced educational environments, thereby fostering innovation in the AI sector.
On January 13, 2025, FPT University (Vietnam) and Asia University (Taiwan, China) have also signed an agreement to train engineers to international standards in semiconductor technology. According to the agreement, the Asia University Vietnam Semiconductor program will be implemented at two FPT University campuses, providing students with globally benchmarked training and deep insights into semiconductor technology. Graduates will receive a degree awarded by Asia University, facilitating their entry into a high-quality labor market in the semiconductor industry, a rapidly growing high-tech sector. This collaboration not only enhances FPT University’s training capacity but also contributes to developing high-caliber human resources for Vietnam’s technology industry.
On February 7, 2025, FPT University and Kookmin University (South Korea) signed a cooperation agreement with a particular focus on scholarship programs for outstanding students in the semiconductor field. Through this collaboration, FPT University students will have the opportunity to experience South Korea’s advanced education system, learn from seasoned experts, and participate in in-depth research projects on semiconductor technology. This is a significant step that enables FPT students to develop within an international academic environment, improve their professional competencies, expand career opportunities in high technology, and promote international cooperation in research and high-quality human resource development.
On February 13, 2025, FPT University and Woosong University (South Korea) organized a discussion session to promote strategic cooperation in education and technology. The two institutions exchanged views on cooperative training programs, student exchanges, scientific research, and the development of human resources in advanced technology fields. In particular, both universities aim to establish joint training programs that allow students to access an international learning environment and enhance their professional skills. The cooperation agreement with Woosong University not only expands FPT University’s international partner network but also creates opportunities for students to participate in research projects, internships, and career development in a global
context.
