FPT Educamp 2018 was officially launched on the morning of November 25 at the Hoa Lac campus, attracting more than 300 attendees to FPT Education. With two attractive sessions and nearly 60 presentations, this year’s conference is considered to have compelling and practical content with stories around “University 4.0”.
“FPT Educamp is the opportunity for you to reach the peak of education and training. Here, you will exchange and share all knowledge, skills, methods, etc in teaching and learning which could be considered as e-education to have a 4.0 workforce,” Dr. Truong Gia Binh spoke at the opening speech. “Educators must be pioneers of the 4.0 technology revolution and not those who catch up”.
The main theme of FPT Educamp 2018 is “University 4.0”, so the presentations at the conference were mostly chosen to exploit the corners related to this topic such as Innovation in learning in the 4.0 era, Digital Communication and Technology, Enrollment in the Industry 4.0, etc.
Mr. Takumi Miyoshi – Director of the International Training Center at Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan started the conference with the first keynote on the hot topic of human resources in Industry 4.0 – “Nurturing engineers and scientists through the Global Project Based Learning (GPBL) program in the Industry 4.0”. This theme comes from the fact that Japan is one of the first countries to enter the world’s super-aging society and was forced to make new improvements to maintain sustainable development in Japan’s 4.0 era.
According to Mr. Takumi Miyoshi, these improvements are expected in education. As such, his speech focused on the application of information technology to the teaching and development of the Global Project Based Learning (GPBL) program that has been conducted at Shibaura Institute of Technology. This is a way to nurture future global engineers and scientists.
All through the project, students are expected not only to make a plan but also make a design, implement, and fieldwork with the themes of ecology, energy, eco-tourism, community development, service, mobility, welfare and medical system, disaster prevention, multi-language communication, user experience, innovation, education system, global leadership & others.
In the afternoon session, the topic of “Leading Generation Training for IT in the era of Integration and Industry 4.0” by Prof. Nguyen Van Tam brought a new perspective on human resources training for the IT industry, attracting huge attention from the staff of FPT Education as well as attendees in the camp.
FPT EduCamp is an annual seminar organized by FPT Education, that aims to connect trainers, experts, and practitioners in the field of education to share experiences, knowledge, and ideas to promote the development of Vietnamese education in general and FPT Education in particular.
FPT Edu also wishes all participants can actively share the concerns and problems they encounter daily but could not find the optimal solution through the Educamp.
Previously, FPT EduCamp 2017 was taken place on November 26 with the presentations of lecturers and staff from FPT Education in particular and FPT Corporation in general. The event attracted more than 200 participants including experts, lecturers, administrators, and employees from FPT Education and other educational institutions in Vietnam, including two presentations from two main speakers and 50 presentations from other speakers. With the theme “Self-learning and Experiences”, the fourth FPT EduCamp aimed to share and discuss issues related to the experiences that the presenters have applied in the process of teaching, researching, and working. The seminar answered the question “How do students learn and experience by themselves?”.
