During a State visit at the invitation of President Michael D. Higgins, President To Lam, along with a high-level delegation from Vietnam, witnessed the signing of various cooperation documents between Vietnamese universities, businesses, and Ireland on October 3.
Among the agreements, FPT announced its collaboration with the ADAPT Research Center at Dublin City University (DCU), ranked among the top 50 best young universities globally, to develop high-tech human resources in the field of AI.
According to an FPT representative, DCU will send faculty members to Vietnam to teach AI to students at FPT University in Da Nang and host discussions to exchange teaching experiences with young instructors. Additionally, DCU will offer scholarships for young FPT University faculty to pursue Ph.D. studies in AI, as well as short-term internships for AI students.
“Collaborating with Dublin City University opens a new chapter in FPT’s AI engineer training. Training one million AI engineers would position Vietnam among advanced countries,” said Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT.
In December, a professor from the ADAPT Center will hold a seminar at FPT University to share insights on the topic of AI-driven development with young faculty and students. This will be a significant opportunity for students and faculty at FPT University to update their knowledge and shape their development in this emerging technology sector.
Moreover, DCU is prepared to offer full scholarships for faculty members and internship opportunities for students at FPT University, opening pathways to advanced technology and international markets.
