The 2024 International Conference on Intelligent Things (ICIT 2024), held from September 12th to 14th, 2024, at FPT University Da Nang, brought together researchers, scientists, businesses, and production agencies from around the world.
The ICIT 2024, co-organized by the Faculty of Information Technology at FPT University Da Nang, the University of Mining and Geology, Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Open University Ho Chi Minh City, and the University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, aimed to discuss the theme “Integrating Artificial Intelligence into IoT Infrastructure (IoT2/AIoT).” The event provided advanced technological knowledge, solutions, and opportunities for strategic cooperation in the AIoT field.
ICIT 2024 featured keynote speakers who are leading experts in IoT, Semiconductor Microcircuits, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain, presenting the latest research in these areas. Keynote speakers included Professor Kim Joongheon from Korea University, discussing “Quantum Machine Learning: Concepts, Models, and Applications,” and Professor Richard Chbeir from the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour with the topic “Data Techniques in IoT.”
The conference attracted significant attention from both domestic and international scientists. With hundreds of research papers submitted, the organizing committee independently evaluated and selected 65 papers for presentation at the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuan, Vice President of FPT University, remarked that with the participation of hundreds of speakers from both Vietnam and abroad, this event not only provided a platform for sharing valuable knowledge and experiences but also presented an opportunity to explore the latest trends and foster cooperation in technological applications.
“The topics we will discuss during these sessions play an essential role in shaping the future of the world. I believe that through collaboration and exchanges among scientists, we will come up with breakthrough solutions, advancing further in the field of technology,” emphasized Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuan.
ICIT 2024 featured 16 discussion sessions on pre-defined topics, chaired by leading experts from FPT University, Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Hanoi Open University, Quy Nhon University, the University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and guest speakers from abroad.
This event provided an opportunity for researchers, scientists, managers, businesses, and production agencies from both Vietnam and abroad to exchange and present their research on IoT, Semiconductor Microcircuits, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and other related fields.
Additionally, the conference served as a platform for scientific debates on contemporary issues in these research areas, supporting sound strategies to promote sustainable development domestically and internationally. It also increased opportunities for collaboration in scientific research between universities worldwide.
The successful organization of ICIT 2024 contributed to promoting scientific research, creating opportunities for both domestic and international scientists to exchange, share information, discuss, and publish research on integrating AI into IoT infrastructure (IoT2/AIoT) and Semiconductor technology.
This is the third time the International Conference on Intelligent Things (ICIT) has been held in Vietnam. In 2022, the first conference was held at the University of Mining and Geology. In 2023, the second conference was held at the University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
