Students passionate about programming nationwide will have the opportunity to compete, develop their tech talents, and win exciting prizes.
FPT Hackathon is a programming competition for students across the country organized by FPT University. The competition has successfully gone through 5 seasons with various themes: Internet of Things (IoT, Make It Happen, 2018), Environment (2019), AI-powered Image Recognition (2021), Blockchain (2022), and Generative AI (2024).
In 2025, the competition returns with the theme Chip AI – Logistics on Edge (AI Chips – Smart Transportation Solutions at the Edge), a nationwide event for university and college students. Participants will form their own teams, with each team consisting of 2 to 5 members. After successful registration, the teams will compete in two categories: Category A for university students and Category B for college students. The competition will challenge teams to apply chip technology, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and IoT (Internet of Things) to develop solutions for supply chain management, goods monitoring, and operational optimization.
The FPT Hackathon 2025 competition is open to university and college students nationwide, with a total prize value of over 200 million VND
Participants can register for FPT Hackathon from April 1 to 11:59 PM on April 20. Teams will undergo two basic training rounds before entering the Preliminary Round on May 25, which will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. In the Preliminary Round, teams will have 5 hours to code based on the challenge presented by the judges. Each region will select the top 5 teams in each category to advance to the Finals.
The Finals will take place from July 18 to July 20. During this round, teams will code continuously for 27 hours based on the problem statement provided by the judges. Teams will then present and defend their products in front of a panel of experts. The final results will be evaluated based on three criteria: the level of completion of the main flow (core functionality), the performance of the product, and the practical significance, applicability, and novelty of the product.
The competition prizes will be awarded in three regions: Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Each region will have:

FPT Hackathon is a platform for nurturing creative ideas, encouraging research and entrepreneurship, and providing opportunities for students to develop highly applicable products ready to hit the market. The competition is supported by the National Innovation Startup Support Center, top technology companies such as FPT Software AI and FPT Smart Cloud, along with experts in the fields of entrepreneurship and logistics.
