With solid expertise and unwavering confidence, FPT University student Nguyen Cong Phuc has secured his place among the top-performing contestants in the region at the Cisco NetAcad Riders 2025 networking skills competition.
Nguyen Cong Phuc (Class of K19 – Information Security) has won the Gold Medal in the national round of the Cisco APJC NetAcad Riders 2025. Ranking among the top three highest-scoring contestants, Phuc is one of Vietnam’s three representatives heading to the Asia-Pacific, Japan, and China (APJC) regional final, scheduled to take place on May 7.
Cisco NetAcad Riders is a prestigious global academic competition organized by Cisco – one of the world’s leading companies in networking and cybersecurity, based in the United States. The competition assesses students’ skills in designing, deploying, and securing network systems through theoretical quizzes and practical simulations using Cisco Packet Tracer – a network simulation tool developed by Cisco for educational and research purposes.
The national round of the 2025 competition was held online from March 24 to April 9, gathering hundreds of students from 22 countries. Contestants were challenged with a rigorous 60-minute exam comprising 45 questions covering both theory and hands-on tasks, requiring in-depth networking knowledge and quick-thinking skills.
In addition to this remarkable student achievement, FPT University HCMC Cisco Academy was also recognized among the Top 3 Networking Academies with the best training outcomes in Vietnam for the 2024–2025 academic year. This honor reflects the Academy’s outstanding efforts in training and its high rate of students earning international certifications. Officially established in May 2021, FPT University HCMC Cisco Academy is a certified Cisco Networking Academy formed through the partnership between FPT University and Cisco Systems Vietnam.
