Opportunity to get international experience and expand professional networks amid Covid-19

It was a rainy Saturday in both Vietnam and Bangladesh. Despite the bad weather that might affect the internet connection, the on-cloud info session on FPT Education’s programs has impressed international students and partners with its outstanding features. 

On July 29, an Online Info Session namely “Global Mobility – Cross-border Learning beyond the COVID-19 Pandemic” was successfully held via Zoom. The info session was also live-streamed on social media, Facebook.  The webinar co-organized by FPT University (Vietnam) and Daffodil International University (Bangladesh) has attracted nearly 40 DIU students thanks to the great coordinator from Daffodil International University, Bangladesh and active engagements from DIU students.

The event was hosted by Mr. Syed Raihan-UI-Islam – Senior Assistant Director of the International Office at Daffodil International University (DIU). He happily introduced the content and objectives of the info session as well as representatives from FPT University, Vietnam.

Mr. Hai Vu – Director of Global Mobility & Ms. Ha Ta – International Relations & Scholarship Coordinator had such wonderful presentations, introducing the cultural beauty of Vietnam and various mobility programs for international students to participate in such as Global Internship, IT Training, Student Exchange, Language Training, Study Tour, and Community Outreach. In addition, the representatives from FPT University did not forget to share about a great opportunity for DIU students to get a full scholarship of remote internship program 2021 (FEGRIS 2021) when they could not travel to Vietnam to take the global internship program in person during the COVID-19 pandemic.

DIU students really enjoyed the info session because of the informative and interactive session. Through the sharings from FPTU’ representatives with beautiful clips shown, they got to know more about Vietnam, FPT University along with an array of short-term courses for international students to choose to join.
Prior to closing the info session, Ms. Michelle Nguyen – Head of International Admission & Global Mobility gave a thank you message to the very active partner, Daffodil International University for always being with FPT University on every event. “We hope to welcome more DIU students to our mobility programs in the coming time. Unfortunately, we cannot meet each other in person but I think it’s okay, as long as we’re still working together virtually to bring more great opportunities for DIU students,” said Ms. Michelle. “Students can still join us with our remote mobility programs to gain a memorable international experience, make new friends and expand the professional networks from all over the world, even if they could not travel to Vietnam due to the pandemic”.

DIU students were not only interested in short-term programs but also in long-term programs, especially the Master’s program being trained at FPT University and job opportunities during their study in Vietnam. They asked many questions regarding both mobility and degree programs.
