Introduction
The FPT University Youth Union (FPTU Youth Union) is officially recognised by FPT University as the representative organisation for students across all campuses nationwide. Operating under the Hanoi Municipal Youth Union, the FPTU Youth Union plays a central role in empowering students to participate in decision-making processes, community engagement, and leadership development.
Through a democratic election process, student representatives are selected to form the Executive Committee of the Youth Union at each campus. These representatives act as a bridge between students and the university administration, ensuring students’ voices are heard and their rights and interests are represented in university-wide activities and policies.
The FPTU Youth Union organises diverse programmes — from leadership training, academic competitions, and social projects to collaborations with government and community organisations — all contributing to students’ holistic development and civic responsibility. Its activities are public and regularly updated on the official FPTU Youth Union Facebook page, reflecting transparent and inclusive student governance.
While the Youth Union operates within the national youth organisation system, FPT University recognises it as the main student representative body, fulfilling the function of a students’ union by representing students’ voices, promoting democratic participation, and strengthening student leadership university-wide.
Functions and Missions
FPT University Youth Union performs the following tasks:
- Political education, traditions education, organizing and participating in movements.
- Building and consolidating the organization of the Youth Union and contributing to the Party.
- Participating in scientific training and research as a member of the FPT University Youth Union under The Hanoi Municipal Youth Union.
- In recent years, under the leadership of the Communist Party Cell and the Rectorate Board, the Youth Union has organized many effective and highly educational activities, focusing on 3 main directions:
- Volunteering and charity activities.
- Cultural and artistic exchange activities.
- Activities to support learning and scientific research.
The 7th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of FPT University, Term 2024–2027
With the approval and support of the university’s Board of Management, the FPT University Youth Union Congress will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025. In addition to reviewing and evaluating the achievements of the previous term, the Congress will conduct the election of the 7th Executive Committee of the Youth Union, ensuring the effective implementation of the objectives set out in the Congress Resolution. This marks a key milestone for the sustainable development of Youth Union movements and reaffirms the vital role of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of FPT University in promoting student leadership and engagement across the university.
Achievements
With determination, efforts, and achievements, FPT University Youth Union has organized meaningful activities such as visiting and giving gifts to 11 heroic Vietnamese mothers in 10 communes of Ba Vi district, Hanoi city, a running contest, volunteering and charity activities, etc.
