Students experience technology at the career counseling booth of FPT University

On March 16th, at the 2025 Admission and Career Counseling Festival (Hanoi), FPT University’s booth attracted many young people to experience VR technology, AR, robot control, and many other exciting activities.

FPT University participated in the event with 12 booths, offering useful information to parents and students about admission methods, scholarship policies, and the “Study First – Pay Later” program. Students were introduced to the various training programs and career orientations that matched their abilities. In addition, they had the chance to participate in the lucky wheel, receiving gifts such as backpacks, notebooks, and T-shirts from FPT University.

The technology experience area was the most popular among the youth. Here, they had the chance to try VR headsets, augmented reality (AR), drag-and-drop IoT programming, control a Ninebot balance vehicle, and even play soccer with robots.

Le Minh Huyen, a 12th-grade student from Nhan Chinh High School, shared: “FPT University’s booth is special because it has technology toys for us to experience. I’m really happy. I’ve looked into studying at this school, and I know there are many fun activities like this one.”

Nguyen Thu Hong, Head of the Admission and Career Counseling Department at FPT University, said that the difference at this year’s booth is the presence of academic advisors who directly counsel students and parents. The teachers answer questions about training programs, job opportunities after graduation, and the challenges and prospects in various fields of study.

Nguyen Thi Hai Ha, a 12th-grade student from Hoai Duc A High School, shared her feelings after being advised by a faculty member at FPT University about the Digital Marketing major: “I was thoroughly and enthusiastically advised by the teachers, who provided useful information about the industry and job opportunities. FPT University has a training program that emphasizes practical experience, with many valuable scholarships. I was a little concerned about tuition fees but was advised on how to ‘hunt for scholarships’ using the SchoolRank tool. I will look into this tool further.”

This year, students are particularly interested in majors such as Semiconductor Chip Design, Multimedia Communication, and Public Relations. Ms. Pham Ngoc Anh (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi), the parent of a 12th-grade student, shared: “FPT University meets our family’s expectations regarding the curriculum, learning environment, and job opportunities after graduation. Moreover, the university has excellent facilities, so I am confident in sending my child to study in the semiconductor chip design program.”

The 2025 University Admission and Career Orientation Fair attracted nearly 300 booths from over 100 educational institutions, both domestic and international. At the general consultation session of the fair, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training provided new information about the 2025 high school graduation exam to parents and students. According to the new policy, the method for admission based on high school transcripts will now use the results from the entire 12th-grade year, rather than just the first semester. Additionally, to increase opportunities for students, institutions may add new combinations of subjects for admission, in addition to the traditional ones.
