FPT University (FPTU) continues to fulfil its mission as a socially responsible educational institution by providing short executive training programmes and open vocational training courses for working professionals, public agencies and the community, including people who are not studying at FPTU. In 2025 and 2026, these programmes were delivered both as regular structured training on a programmed basis and as special events organised ad-hoc, with a focus on artificial intelligence, digital transformation and practical technical skills.
1. Free Executive Education and Vocational Training Series Delivered on a Programmed Basis for Professionals, Public Officials and the Wider Community
FPTU and the wider FPT Education system run free professional development programmes for working professionals, businesses, local government officials and members of the community. Delivered as named series and multi-session projects, these programmes cover artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity and chip design. They are planned in advance, either through schedules announced in advance and open to public registration or through cooperation agreements with local authorities, Youth Union organisations and industry partners, and are built around the skills that employers and public agencies need. Each series follows a common framework that is delivered across different venues and localities, and new series and topics are added every year as technology and labour market needs evolve. Sessions are held in person, mostly at weekends, and online, so that participants can take part without leaving work.
Regular short courses and vocational workshops for working professionals
FPT Education runs a series of professional workshops according to a schedule announced in advance, mostly at weekends, with each session lasting three hours. Working professionals and learners from other institutions can register without restriction. In 2025, the series comprised ten sessions:
- “Exploring AI through Python” (22 March)
- “Designing and Integrating AI on FPGA Chips” (29 March)
- “Cybersecurity after Digital Transformation” (11 April)
- “Turning Ideas into AI Assistants” (26 April)
- “Chip Design for Beginners: Using EDA Tools” (24 May)
- “Exploring Cybersecurity in the AI Era” (23 August)
- “Exploring AI Agents: Building a Chatbot in Three Hours” (26 August)
- “Building an Intelligent Cybersecurity Monitoring System with Integrated AI” (20 September)
- “Building an AI Virtual Assistant: A Hands-on Experience” (27 September)
- “Building AI-Integrated Full-Stack Applications” (18 October)
Each session combines foundational knowledge with hands-on practice, helping learners acquire skills currently in demand in the technology labour market. Held mostly at weekends, the series offers flexible scheduling for people in work, and its trending topics, from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to chip design, reflect current labour market demand.
“Upskill 5.0” series: artificial intelligence training in the workplace
In Can Tho, FPT Education runs the “Upskill 5.0” workshop series, bringing training directly to employers, colleges and local organisations:
- With the Youth Union of Binh Thuy Ward (23 July 2026), nearly 50 participants learned to apply artificial intelligence to public awareness videos.
- At PVcomBank’s An Phu branch (5 September 2026), more than 20 employees received training in applying artificial intelligence to design, communication and sales.
- At Can Tho College of Tourism (23 September 2026), nearly 100 participants learned to create and edit video content with CapCut.
- At Can Tho City General Hospital (29 September 2026), around 30 staff members were shown how to apply artificial intelligence in their daily work, practise image creation and optimise communication content.
Because each session is designed with the host organisation, the series focuses on practical application: participants practise with the tools they will use in their own work.

Digital transformation and artificial intelligence training for businesses and armed forces officers in Tay Ninh Province
Management training for local businesses. On 21 March 2025, FPTU, together with the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union and the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association, held the seminar “Enterprise Management in the Digital Era”. More than 50 representatives of local businesses took part, alongside 15 FPTU lecturers and staff. The seminar focused on digital transformation in management, the use of technology in business administration and brand development in the digital environment.
Building on this activity, on 7 June 2025 FPTU sent lecturers to support the Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Application Day for local businesses. The event was organised by the Tay Ninh Business Association and the Provincial Department of Finance and brought together more than 150 delegates, most of them leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Armed forces officers of Tay Ninh Province. On 29 May 2025, at the request of Tay Ninh Province, seven FPTU lecturers and staff trained 200–300 officers of the provincial armed forces in the use of artificial intelligence. The training covered tools for creating digital content, image editing, basic video editing and social media channel management, enabling participants to produce appropriate communication content and to identify and counter misinformation.
Youth Union officers
- From March to April 2025, FPTU and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union carried out the project “AI Is Difficult? Young People Will Handle It!”, training nearly 500 Youth Union officers in six localities, including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Dinh and Can Tho. Led by FPTU’s Software Engineering Department, with each information technology student mentoring three to four officers, the sessions covered practical tools such as ChatGPT, Leonardo AI, Canva and Suno for planning events, designing communication materials and writing reports.

- On 17 March 2025, FPT Academy International, part of FPT Education, held the workshop “Digital Literacy for All – Experiencing AI” for 30 officers of the District 3 Youth Union.
- On 3 January 2026, FPT Academy International worked with Saigon Ward to hold the fourth session in the series “Community Knowledge Updates in the Digital Age”, on smart planning with artificial intelligence, for nearly 100 participants.
- Tran De Commune (7 August 2026): creative thinking with generative artificial intelligence
- O Mon Ward (11 August 2026): creating presentation slides with artificial intelligence
- Thoi Long Ward (12 August 2026): planning with artificial intelligence and designing publications with Canva
These courses are planned in advance under cooperation agreements and multi-session projects. Each follows a common curriculum, with exercises adapted to participants’ work in public communication, data processing, planning and document preparation. Participant feedback is used to plan further courses, helping public sector staff build the digital skills needed for digital public administration.
2. Free Ad-hoc Executive Education and Vocational Training Events for Businesses, Public Agencies, Schools and the Wider Community
In addition to structured training programmes, FPTU and the FPT Education system also organises short public seminars and community workshops on request. These one-off events respond to specific requests from local authorities, business associations and schools, and often bring in renowned experts and industry partners.
Seminar “Information Security in the AI Era”
On 7 June 2025, FPT Education, through the Master of Software Engineering programme of the FPT School of Business and Technology, held the seminar “Information Security in the AI Era”. Registration was open to information technology specialists, system and security administrators, and technology managers in businesses and financial institutions, as well as anyone wishing to strengthen their information security skills. Participants did not need to be enrolled at FPTU or in any degree programme, and participation was free of charge.
Led by cybersecurity expert Hiếu PC (Ngô Minh Hiếu), the seminar addressed the need for businesses to protect their systems and data as artificial intelligence creates new forms of cyberattack. As a short, stand-alone professional training session, it enabled participants to update their knowledge in a single morning without committing to a longer course.
“Principal 4.0” workshops for school leaders
The “Principal 4.0” workshops, held on 10–11 March 2025 in Soc Trang and Hau Giang provinces in cooperation with the provincial Departments of Education and Training and the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, were special events for school principals and education managers, with more than 1,000 participants.
Discussions focused on the overall landscape of artificial intelligence in education, the artificial intelligence competency framework for Vietnamese general education, ways of using artificial intelligence to turn management challenges into opportunities, and practical applications of artificial intelligence and STEM-Robotics in classroom teaching.

Through both regular programmes and special events, FPTU shares its expertise in digital technology, artificial intelligence and education management with working professionals, state agencies and local communities. Most programmes are publicly announced on the University’s website, social media and partners’ channels, and all are provided free of charge. They are designed to reach a broad audience beyond FPTU’s own students in education, community development and business.
3. Social Impact of FPTU’s Executive Education and Vocational Training and Its Contribution to Lifelong Learning and the Sustainable Development Goals
These programmes focus on:
- Equipping the public with future-ready skills and promoting lifelong learning through seminars, workshops and courses open to learners beyond the university (SDG 4);
- Supporting workforce development and enhancing the professional skills of public officials and working professionals (SDG 8);
- Strengthening technological capacity and digital transformation readiness in state agencies and local communities (SDG 9).
Through these activities, FPTU reaffirms its commitment to lifelong learning and national capacity-building.
