2. Methods of admission
FPT University offers admission based on a combination of the National High School Graduation Examination (NHSGE) results and high school academic performance.
The admission score is calculated as follows:
Admission Score = Combined Score + Bonus Points + Priority Points
Where:
Combined Score = (NHSGE Score + (Grade 12 Average Score × 3)) / 2
The NHSGE Score is calculated as follows:
– Axx subject group = Mathematics + Subject 2 + Subject 3; applicable to candidates applying for all majors.
– Cxx subject group = Literature + Subject 2 + Subject 3; applicable to candidates applying for all majors except Information Technology and Computer Science.
Candidates using a foreign language certificate for exemption from the foreign language examination in the NHSGE may use the converted foreign language score according to the APPENDIX – BONUS POINTS AND FOREIGN LANGUAGE CERTIFICATE CONVERSION TABLE.
The Grade 12 Average Score is the average score of all subjects assessed by numerical grades in Grade 12.
Bonus Points are granted to candidates holding foreign language certificates according to the APPENDIX – BONUS POINTS AND FOREIGN LANGUAGE CERTIFICATE CONVERSION TABLE.
Priority Points are awarded in accordance with Article 7 of the MOET Admission Regulations.
Bonus Points and Priority Points are determined to ensure that the Admission Score does not exceed 30 in accordance with Point d, Clause 2, Article 6 and Clause 4, Article 7 of the MOET Admission Regulations.
The Admission Score is rounded to two decimal places after Bonus Points and Priority Points have been added.
Foreign language certificates may only be used either for converting the foreign language subject score in the admission subject group or for Bonus Points.
