FPT university collaborates with local, national, and global health institutions to improve health and wellbeing outcomes

FPT University does not treat health and wellbeing as something it manages alone. As a body, the university builds and sustains collaborations with health institutions at every level — local hospitals and health centers, national health authorities and corporations, and global health and wellness organizations — to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for its own students and staff, and for the wider community.

Local Collaborations with Health Institutions

Standing Health Check-Ups and Wellbeing Retreats

Close to campus, FPT University keeps health and wellbeing support running as a standing commitment rather than a seasonal one. Free annual health check-ups and periodic wellbeing retreats remain part of the university’s routine care for its own community, the same standing services that back up its mental health programs, giving students, lecturers, and staff regular, no-cost access to medical screening and dedicated time to rest and recover.

“STROKE ME… STROKE” Exhibition with Tâm Đức Heart Hospital

On August 22–24, 2025, a team of FPT University students majoring in Digital Art and Design, partnered with Tâm Đức Heart Hospital to stage “STROKE ME… STROKE”, an interactive art exhibition held at the Quang San Art Museum in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.

Combining digital graphics, lighting, sound, and interactive installations, the exhibition let visitors experience the causes, warning signs, and consequences of stroke through their own senses, with Tâm Đức Heart Hospital’s own vascular specialists serving as medical advisor — turning a youth-led creative project into a genuine public-health collaboration aimed at a condition increasingly affecting young people.

Blood Donation with Can Tho Red Cross

FPT University Can Tho campus renewed its local health partnerships in early this year. In January and April, 2026, the campus worked with the Can Tho Red Cross to organize a blood donation drive that collected over 600 units of blood, contributing directly to the Mekong Delta region’s emergency blood supply.

“Bệnh Viện 360°” with VISI Eye Hospital

The following month, FPT University Can Tho campus group of students, the OrcaX team, took local health collaboration a step further. In May 2026, “Bệnh Viện 360°” (360° Hospital) project — an immersive digital platform offering panoramic hospital navigation, vision and colour-blindness testing, and patient education — was formally adopted into daily operations by VISI Eye Hospital in Sóc Trăng province, with the partnership already cutting patient waiting times by 40–50% and plans to expand across the VISI hospital system.

That same year, OrcaX put the project directly into practice beyond Vietnam’s borders, joining an eye-care campaign that screened 600 patients at the Phnom Penh Thmey Health Center in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), where team members helped coordinate the campaign while observing every stage of patient care to refine their platform. Moreover, the team also presented their research on applying AI to entrepreneurship and medical experience design at ICTechED 2026, an international conference, giving their health-technology work international academic visibility.

National Collaborations with Health Institutions

Electronic Medical Records with Phan Châu Trinh Hospital

At the national level, FPT University’s collaborations run through FPT Corporation — FPT University’s parent company — whose technology divisions have become a recurring partner to Vietnam’s national hospital network. In April 2025, FPT Corporation completed a four-month deployment of its FPT.eHospital and FPT.EMR systems at Phan Châu Trinh Medical University Hospital, making it the first hospital in Quang Nam province approved to run fully electronic medical records in place of paper files, fully compliant with the Ministry of Health’s digital-record standards.

Smart Hospital Model with Bạch Mai Hospital

Seven months later, in November 2025, FPT Corporation signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Bạch Mai Hospital — one of Vietnam’s leading national hospitals — to build an AI-assisted smart hospital model spanning centralized clinical data, diagnostic support, and telemedicine, with a further commitment to deliver health check-ups and expert consultations for all FPT personnel nationwide.

FPT University Students’ Performance at Vietnam Community Nutrition Day

That same national reach also carries FPT University’s own community directly into Vietnam’s public health stage. What began as institutional, behind-the-scenes collaboration with the national health sector has, in the months since, turned into direct, visible participation.

In May 2026, FPT University’s student dance club, FStyle Crew, took the stage at the 6th Vietnam Community Nutrition Day — a flagship national health-promotion event organized by The Ministry of Health and Báo Sức khỏe & Đời sống (Health & Life Newspaper) at Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City — and won the Special Award, for a performance inspired by Vietnamese traditional culture.

FPTU students impressed by winning the Special Prize at an event organized by the Ministry of Health.

Performing “Khoan Hời Mở Hội”, a piece drawing on Vietnamese folk culture, the students were recognized by the organizers for their technical consistency, stage presence, and the positive energy they brought to the audience. Outreach on a topic like nutrition does not always take the form of a lecture — sometimes it is a stage performance that pulls a national health-awareness event into the public eye.

Blood Donation with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion

FPT University’s national collaborations also include blood-donation partnerships with Vietnam’s central blood-transfusion authority. On July 1, 2026, through the “Vòng Tay Ấm 21” (Warm Arms 21st Edition) campaign — held in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion — the university again mobilized its community, registering 522 donors and collecting 461 units of blood for the national blood supply.

Global Collaborations with Health Institutions

Coursera: Global Health Education Coursework

FPT University’s health and wellbeing collaborations extend beyond Vietnam’s borders. Through its university-wide partnership with Coursera, FPT University gives every student access to health-science coursework and global health content developed as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) by leading international institutions — bringing a global standard of health knowledge to FPT University’s own classrooms, with its 75,000 students,  as well as supporting lifelong learning process and improving understanding of public health on a global scale.

FPT Corporation and La Trobe University: Digital Health Innovation

On August 18, 2025, FPT Corporation and La Trobe University (Australia) announced a formal partnership to advance digital health innovation, agreeing to pursue joint applied research using digital twins, extended reality, and generative AI to address healthcare needs in chronic disease management and aged care — a cross-border research collaboration aimed at developing solutions that benefit both the Australian and Vietnamese health systems.

FPT University and GLG Yoga School: An International Partnership for Wellbeing

Weeks later, that same international outlook brought a new health and wellbeing partner. On September 12, 2025, FPT University Da Nang campus welcomed a delegation from GLG Yoga School, an international yoga teacher-training institution whose curriculum blends the traditional Hatha Yoga lineage with modern practices such as Aerial Yoga and is internationally recognized. Led by GLG Yoga School Vice President Dr. Shivam Mishra, the delegation explored opportunities to jointly organize an International Yoga Symposium on holistic health, with both sides agreeing to pursue further initiatives supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of FPT University’s students and faculty.

Conclusion

Together, these collaborations show an institution that improves health and wellbeing outcomes as a body — engaging local hospitals and health centers, national health authorities and corporations, and global health and wellness institutions alike, and building on each partnership rather than letting it stand alone. They demonstrate the FPT University’s strong commitment to advancing sustainable development, with a particular focus on both the wellness and wellbeing of its stakeholders.
