The appeal process

Level 1 – Resolution at FPT University

Level 1 flowchart: responsibilities, requirements and time limits

Level 2 – Independent internal review

Within 30 days of receiving the Level 1 result (or if no result is received on time), the employee may request a review by email to [email protected] or through the Trade Union. The review is carried out by:

  • an Appeal Review Panel chaired by a member of FPT University’s leadership board, including a Trade Union representative and a manager not involved in the original decision; and/or
  • the FPT Corporation Compliance & Legal Board ([email protected]; 024.7300.7300, ext. 48368), which is independent of the University.

The panel reviews the file, may hold a meeting with the employee (who may be accompanied), and issues a written decision within 15 working days. Any underpayment confirmed at any level is paid in full, retroactively.

Level 3 – External recourse

Employees retain at all times the right, under Vietnamese law, to take their complaint to the competent provincial labour authority/inspectorate (Decree 24/2018/ND-CP), or to settle an individual labour dispute through a labour mediator, the Labour Arbitration Council or the People’s Court (Labour Code 2019, Articles 187–190). FPT University cooperates fully with these bodies.
