FPT University Inspires Over 3,000 Students with a Passion for English

Through various English teaching initiatives for students from grades 4 to 12 nationwide, FPT University is helping young learners enhance their language skills, gain knowledge, and build confidence in their journey to mastering English.

F.RElish – Enhancing English Skills for High School Students

F.RElish is an English learning program initiated by lecturers from the English Language department and faculty members at FPT University. Launched in early 2025 as part of the “FPT University for the Community” initiative, F.RElish offers free online English courses for high school students across Vietnam who are eager to improve their language proficiency.

With the motto “FPTU helps you Review English with Joy,” F.RElish aims to boost students’ confidence in communication and provide essential support in preparing for the National High School Graduation Exam. The program features high-quality exercises and exam-style questions designed to closely match the actual test structure, ensuring students are well-prepared for this critical milestone.

Each week, F.RElish conducts two interactive sessions covering real-life topics through group activities, games, and lively discussions. By employing creative learning methods, students improve grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and their ability to use English naturally.

Despite being newly launched, the program has already attracted over 2,800 registered students, reflecting the increasing demand for English learning among high school students.

Expanding English Education to Hope School

Prior to F.RElish, FPT University also established ECF – The English Community, led by English Language lecturers and students since 2023. This community was created with the goal of spreading a love for English, connecting language enthusiasts, and fostering a dynamic learning environment.

In its early stages, ECF organized a series of exciting events, including in-depth workshops, talk shows, and experiential trips. These activities provided members with valuable opportunities to network, share knowledge, and engage in practical learning experiences.

To further expand English education, in May 2023, ECF launched the Hand-in-Hand to Go Global project, dedicated to teaching English at Hope School—a special school in Da Nang founded by FPT Corporation to support and educate children orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic. The project reached over 200 students from grades 4 to 12 through nine different classes. Under the slogan “Go Global – Embrace International Integration”, the initiative helped students improve their English skills and access global career opportunities in the future.

The Hand-in-Hand to Go Global classes were conducted weekly in the community space of Hope School. Each session was carefully designed by English Language students, with guidance from faculty members, ensuring engaging and easy-to-understand lessons. The modern teaching approach, blending theory with hands-on activities, made English learning more enjoyable for students. The project also focused on grammar, vocabulary, communication skills, and practical language application, making English more accessible and relevant to real-life situations.

A Milestone in Knowledge Sharing and Education

Both F.RElish and Hand-in-Hand to Go Global have significantly enhanced English proficiency for over 3,000 students nationwide. From initially struggling with confidence in communication, these students have gradually developed a solid foundation and the ability to use English fluently in real-life scenarios.

Beyond academics, these projects have deepened students’ understanding of the importance of foreign languages, igniting their passion for learning and motivating them to continue improving their skills.

A key goal of the FPT University for the Community initiative is to expand its reach to more students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. By bringing these projects to more localities, FPTU aims to make modern English learning methods accessible, helping students enhance their communication skills and build confidence in using English in daily life.

The success of F.RElish and Hand-in-Hand to Go Global stems from the dedication of the organizing team, the enthusiasm of volunteers, and the strong support from the English-loving student community. Both initiatives continue their mission of spreading knowledge, empowering young learners, and equipping them with the skills to become dynamic global citizens.
