1. I have a desire to study at FPT University. Can you tell me what the admission requirements of the university are?

If you wish to study at FPT University, you need to graduate from high school (by the time of admission) and meet one of the following criteria:

Candidates are eligible for direct admission in the Regulation of Admission of universities and colleges of the Ministry of Education and Training in 2022.

Ranked among the Top40 according to the 2022 NHSGE scores  (certification on the website http://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn according to the data compiled by FPT University and announced after the 2022 NHSGE) and Have NHSGE subject’s cluster’s result is average and above (15*/30 points).

Ranked among the Top40 according to the high school transcripts in 2022 (certified on http://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn).

Have an English certificate of TOEFEL iBT of 80 and above or Academic IELTS test score of 6.0 and above or equivalent (for English language program); have a Japanese JLPT certificate of N3 and above (for Japanese Language program); have a certificate of TOPIK Korean language level 4 in the TOPIK II exam (for Korean Language program).

Graduates from one of the following programs: APTECH HDSE/ADSE Program (for Information Technology program); ARENA ADIM Program (for Digital Art & Design specialization); BTEC HND Program; FUNIX Software Engineering.

Graduated from high school abroad.

Graduated from other universities.

Transfer students from universities in the Top1000 in the latest rankings of QS, ARWU and THE or schools with 5-star QS Star for teaching quality.

2. What is included in the application for admission to FPT University? When is the deadline for application?

Registration documents include:

– Registration form;

– Photocopy/scan of ID card/passport;

– A photocopy/scanned copy of the high school transcript (for the application according to the results of the high school’s GPA) or the certificate of the 2022 NHSGE results (for the application according to the 2022 NHSGE results);

– Certificate of ranking in 2022 according to high school transcripts/ NHSGE results on http://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn;

– Photocopies/scans of other documents certifying registration conditions (if any).

– Admission fee: VND 200,000.

The application of registration is only valid when FPT University has received all documents and the registration fee in accordance with regulations.

3. I am studying at a foreign university, now I want to move back to Vietnam, am I eligible to transfer to FPT University?

4. Does the university recruit foreign students?

The university has enrolled international students since 2013. Up to now, there have been hundreds of international students studying long-term, including 48 students studying IT and more than 300 students studying short-term or periodical exchange. International students in the two fields of Information Technology and Business Administration of FPT University will be taught according to the curriculum and content consistent with the current program for Vietnamese students.

The presence of students from 19 different countries studying at the school has helped students studying at the University improve their English communication skills, practice life skills, and interact in the international environment to be ready to work in the period of global integration.

5. Why does FPT University’s formal program only last 3 years?

Since we don’t have a summer break and have 3 semesters per academic year. Students can complete 9 semesters of the programs in just 3 years. In other words, at FPT University, if you meet the entry English requirement, you need only 3 years to complete the undergraduate program. You also do not need to worry about the schedule because there will be 2 weeks of breaks between semesters.

This kind of training model not only helps you shorten your study time, but also helps you get used to the full-time work schedule, which can soon integrate into the professional working environment at enterprises.

6. As I know, FPT University’s students shall join the internship from the 3rd year. During the internship at enterprises, what will students do? Why doesn’t this internship of FPT University take place in the final year like other universities?

FPT University places the on-the-job training in the 3rd year to help students have a realistic view of the future work and working environment during their studies. From there, they can better equip the lacking knowledge and skills. This also helps students identify their strengths when choosing a specialization and helps them determine their future career path.

More specifically, FPT University’s students after finishing their second year of study with background specialized knowledge and foreign language ability will participate in a 4-8 month on-the-job training at enterprises. During this time, students have access to “real people, real things”, apply learned theories, and directly participate in projects of different sizes to learn and accumulate practical experience. Depending on the project and level of participation, students may receive allowances or scholarships. After finishing the OJT, students will return to study to supplement their in-depth knowledge. At this time, students have experienced and are no longer surprised when working in large domestic and international enterprises. This is one of the strengths that makes FPT University students dominant in the period of global integration.

7. As I know, FPT University students will be able to participate in the “Foreign semester” program. What are the conditions to join this program?

The university has many activities for its students to have the opportunity to go abroad such as student exchange, learning languages abroad, internship programs, seminars, conferences, and other international cooperation activities.

Currently, FPT University has more than 60 partners present in more than 27 countries around the world, and hundreds of international students come to study each year. 8. How long does the English preparation last?

The English preparation has 6 levels, and the duration of each level is 2 months. When applying to FPT University, you will take an English placement test to determine which English class you need to take. Depending on the placement test results, your English learning duration might last from 2 months to a year.

9. How many students are there in each class?

Each class at FPT University has 20-30 students. The lecturer will know all the students in the class as well as understand the level and learning ability of each student to be able to help promptly.

10. If I have an IELTS or TOEFL certificate, will I be exempt from English preparation?

The English Preparatory Program aims to equip students with sufficient English skills to study for the major programs. If students have an Academic IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL iBT of 80 or equivalent, they will be exempted from the English preparation phase and directly enter their major programs. industry from year one.

11. While studying in the English preparation phase, will I be exempted from a summons for military service?

14. Is the degree of FPT University internationally recognized?
