I. NGUYEN VAN DAO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

  1. Objective

– Finding, attracting, and fostering the talents;

– Memorizing the contributions of the late Professor-Academician Nguyen Van Dao to the education, science and technology of Vietnam in general and the development of FPT University in particular.

  1. Number of scholarships (expected): 1,500 scholarships.
  2. Scholarship levels and criteria of scholarship granting

a) Direct grant of scholarships

Eligible candidates for admission to FPT University will be granted a scholarship from FPT University if they meet one of the following conditions:

Scholarship Level Criteria
100%+ (tuition fee and living expenses) Satisfy one of the following criteria:

– Join the selected teams in international Exams like IMO and IOI.

– Won the first prize in the National Excellent Student Competition in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Informatics.
70% Won the second prize in the National Excellent Student Competition in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Informatics.
50% Satisfy one of the following criteria:

– Won the third prize in the National Excellent Student Competition in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Informatics.

– Won the first, second, and third prizes at national levels for gifted subjects in musical performance, sports, art, and beauty (see Appendix) or other contests approved by the FPT University Admission Council.

Remarks:

– Only applicable to the latest competition or within 3 years of admission.

– Special cases will be approved by the Chairman of FPT University Admission Council.

b) Scholarship examining

The candidates who are eligible for admission to FPT University, graduates from high school in 2022, have never won a scholarship in FPT University’s scholarship exams, and meet one of the following criteria will be eligible to participate in the scholarship examination of FPT University to receive 10% – 100% tuition fee scholarships (tuition fee of the entire course):

  • Named in the list of the selected teams for the national excellent student competition(subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, English);
  • Ranked among the Top30 according to the 2022 high school’s GPA ranking (certificated by http://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn );
  • GPA from A level (or equivalent) and above (for candidates graduating from high school abroad).
  1. Scholarship exam and scholarship review schedules

– Scholarship exam schedule: Exam will be held on May 29th, 2022.

– Scholarship review schedule: The University will prioritize the early registration documents until the scholarship ends.

  1. Structure of the scholarship exam

Candidates take 2 exams in Vietnamese language, details are as follows:

The standard score of FPT University’s scholarship exam is decided by the Chairman of the Admissions Council and announced in each exam period.

  1. Application for the Nguyen Van Dao scholarship program registration

– Scholarship application form;

– Photocopy/scanned copy of ID card/Passport;

– A photocopy/scanned copy of the high school transcript (for the application according to the results of the high school’s GPA) or the certificate of the 2022 NHSGE results (for the application according to the 2022 NHSGE results);

– Certificate of ranking in 2022 according to high school transcripts/ NHSGE results on http://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn;

– Photocopies/scanned of documents certifying achievements (the originals will be submitted in the admission application);

– Scholarship registration fee: VND 200,000.

– Enrollment form;

– Certified copy of high school transcript (full 3 years);

– Certified copy of High School Diploma (or temporary High School Graduation Certificate, the original certificate will be submitted after being issued);

– Certified copy of ID card/passport;

– 01 3x4cm photo and a scanned copy of a 3.4 photo;

– Certified copy of birth certificate;

– Certified copy of ID card of father or mother;

– Certified copy of household registration book;

– Certified copies of other diplomas/certificates (if any).

– Certified copies of documents certifying achievements;

– Fees according to the current financial regulations for students of FPT University.

  1. Other regulations

Follow the applicable regulations on scholarship finance, credit for FPT University’s full-time undergraduate students:

  1. The University will grant scholarships for candidates completing the admissions documents early as a priority until the 2022 scholarship ends;
  2. Nguyen Van Dao Scholarship is a specific scholarship and it cannot be transferred to the others as well as converted into cash;
  3. Nguyen Van Dao scholarship is independent and not applied at the same time with any other incentives of FPT University;
  4. For scholarships at 100%+ (tuition fee and living expenses): Living expenses are accommodation expenses, supported only during the actual study program (including the tuition fee for the English preparatory), not being applied to periods of suspension for any reason.

II. PREFERENTIAL CREDIT PROGRAM

  1. Subjects participating in the program

The candidates, who are admitted to FPT University, have good qualification and difficulty in finance, wish to participate in the Preferential Credit program, must meet the input conditions for credit issue. The credit issue is only applied since the candidates become the official students of the University.

  1. Credit granting criteria

Candidates who wish to participate in the Preferential Credit program, with an average living standard or less in accordance with the Decree No. 07/2021/ND-CP of the Prime Minister dated on January 27, 2021, must meet one of the following conditions and pass the interview of FPT University: Ranked among the Top30 according to the 2022 NHSGE scores or Ranked among Top30 according to the 2022 high school GPA, (certificate made on the website http://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn).

  1. Credit terms and limits

Comply with the current regulations on finance for scholarships and credits for full-time undergraduate students of FPT University:

– Credit limits: 50% – 70% of the tuition of the whole course;

– Credit term is 5 years at maximum from the date of admission.

  1. Registration documents for participation in the Preferential Credit program

In addition to the documents submitted when applying to FPT University, the candidates need to submit the following additional documents:

– An application form to participate in the program signed by the students’ parents;

– Documents support the university in verifying the family’s financial difficulty;

– Photocopy/scanned of household registration book;

– A photocopy/scanned of the guarantor’s household registration book;

– A photocopy/scanned of the Guarantor’s ID card;

– Certificate of students’ 2022 ranking on http://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn.

  1. Admission documents for the Preferential Credit program

In addition to the admission documents according to the applicable regulations on Enrollment of FPT University, the candidates must submit additional documents as follows:

– Certified documents (originals) submitted when applying for the Preferential Credit program,

– 02 Credit Agreements in the form of FPT University signed by the students and the guarantors.

 

III. TUITION FEE DISCOUNT

  1. 30% discount

30% discount on tuition fees for students whose parents, guarantors, and siblings (biological and adopted) have full-time labor contracts with FPT Education.

2. 10% discount

10% discount on tuition fees for students whose biological siblings have studied at all FPT Education programs nationwide.

Note:

  • FPT Education includes FPT Education Co., Ltd and other entities in which FPT Education Co., Ltd directly or indirectly owns 50% or more of its equity.
  • FPT Education programs include all formal and informal education at all levels.
  • Tuition fee discount is normal tuition fee, excluding registration fee, retaken fee, accommodation, etc.
  • This policy is independent and not applied at the same time with any other incentives;
  • Funding sources are deducted from the annual admission fund.
