I. SCHOLARSHIP REGULATIONS FOR THE FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM AT FPT UNIVERSITY IN 2024
FPT University offers three scholarship programs in 2024:

  1. SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
    The “School Scholarship” program consists of six types:

1.1 Nguyen Van Dao Scholarship
Candidates will be awarded a scholarship for FPT University’s full-time undergraduate program if they meet one of the following conditions:

Note:
This applies only to competitions held most recently or within three years before the enrollment date.

1.2 High School Scholarship
FPT University offers a 100% scholarship (covering the entire tuition for the full-time undergraduate program) to one student from each high school, selected by the high school board, meeting the following criteria:

  • Graduated from high school in 2024;
  • Ranked in the Top 10 of the 2024 high school rankings (ranking certified at https://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn/);
  • Priority is given to children of educators.

1.3 Local Scholarship
FPT University offers a 100% scholarship (covering the entire tuition for the full-time undergraduate program) for each province, as per agreements between FPT University and the provincial People’s Committee.

1.4 Educational Encouragement Scholarship
Candidates who graduate from high school in 2024 and meet the admission criteria for FPT University in 2024 are eligible for the Educational Encouragement Scholarship:

  • For candidates in the Top 50 of the 2024 high school rankings who are not first-generation university students: the scholarship is equivalent to 25% of the tuition for the first three specialized semesters (for those enrolling at FPT University’s Binh Dinh campus in 2024) or 25% of the tuition for the first specialized semester (for those enrolling at other campuses).
  • For all other candidates: the scholarship is equivalent to 50% of the tuition for the first three specialized semesters (for those enrolling at FPT University’s Binh Dinh campus in 2024) or 50% of the tuition for the first specialized semester (for those enrolling at other campuses).

(*) First-generation: The candidate is the first in their family (including parents or guardians and all siblings) to attend university. When applying for the scholarship, first-generation candidates must submit a priority scholarship application form certified by their parents’ workplace or local authority according to FPT University’s template.

Disbursement Method:
Students will receive the scholarship starting from the first tuition payment in 2025. The scholarship amount will be deducted directly from each payment, with a deduction of 5,000,000 VND for each payment until the total scholarship amount is fully used. The final deduction will be less than 10,000,000 VND, equal to the total scholarship amount minus the previous deductions.

1.5 FPTU Age 18 Scholarship
FPT University offers 180 scholarships worth 180 million VND each (covering the tuition for specialized semesters) to candidates who meet the following three criteria:

  • Graduated from high school in 2024;
  • Chose FPT University as one of their top 3 choices during the first-round admission application on the National Admission Support System;
  • Scored 25 points or higher in the 2024 high school graduation exam (combining Mathematics + 2 other subjects).

The 180 candidates eligible for the scholarship will be selected based on their exam scores, ranked from highest to lowest.

Disbursement Method:
Students will receive the scholarship starting from the first specialized semester, with a direct deduction of 20,000,000 VND per semester, for a total of 9 specialized semesters.

1.6 Semiconductor Chip Design Specialized Scholarship
FPT University offers a 50% scholarship for the first two specialized semesters to candidates who graduate from high school in 2024 and meet the admission criteria for FPT University in 2024.

Disbursement Method:
Students will receive a direct 50% deduction from the tuition for the first two specialized semesters.

Training Locations:
FPT University campuses in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Can Tho.

2. TALENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Talent Scholarship program has two awarding methods:

2.1. Scholarship Evaluation

2.1.1. Scholarship Evaluation Criteria
Candidates with achievements in one or more of the following fields: Academic, Culture-Sports, Arts, Beauty, Community Activities, or Others, and who meet the criteria below, can apply for the FPT University full-time undergraduate scholarship:

  • Meet the admission criteria for FPT University in 2024;
  • Submit an application and be accepted by FPT University’s Scholarship Evaluation Committee;
  • Complete all scholarship and admission registration procedures within the specified deadlines after being awarded the scholarship.

2.1.2. Application and Registration Process

2.1.2.1. Application Documents

  • Copies of proof of achievements in one or more of the following fields: Academic, Culture-Sports, Arts, Beauty, Community Activities, or Others (course completion certificates and language certificates are not accepted);
  • A scholarship application answering three questions: “Who are you? (Include full name, province/city of high school, high school name)”; “What are your achievements? (List only achievements from the last three years of high school)”; and “Why did you choose FPT University?”;
  • A copy of your ID/Passport;
  • Copies of other documents certifying eligibility for admission to FPT University.

2.1.2.2. Registration Method
a. Candidates can submit their applications through the university’s website or via email, with the subject formatted as <<ID/Passport Number><Full Name><Phone Number>_<Province/City of High School>> to the email: [email protected]
b. Notes on the Scholarship Application:

  • The application must be a maximum of 2,000 words;
  • Pages must be numbered in the format “page M/N”, where M is the page number and N is the total number of pages;
  • For handwritten applications, candidates must submit photos of the application pages, with a maximum file size of 5Mb;
  • File naming format: <ID/Passport Number><Full Name (without accents)><Major>_<Campus (HN/HCM/DN/CT/QN)>;
  • Example:
    • ID/Passport Number: 112345678
    • Full Name: Nguyễn Văn A
    • Major: IT
    • Campus: Hanoi
    • File Name: 112345678_NguyenVanA_IT_HN
  • Candidates are responsible for the accuracy of the content presented in the scholarship application;
  • FPT University reserves the right to use the content in the candidate’s scholarship application.

2.1.3. Other Regulations
Each candidate can only submit one scholarship application, which can be supplemented if the registration deadline has not passed.

2.2. Scholarship Examination

2.2.1. Scholarship Examination Eligibility
Candidates who meet the admission criteria for FPT University, graduate from high school in 2024, have not received a scholarship from previous FPT University scholarship exams, and meet one of the following criteria are eligible to participate in the FPT University scholarship exam to receive scholarships ranging from 10% to 100% (covering full tuition fees):

  • Listed in the National Excellent Student Team (in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, English);
  • Ranked in the Top 20 of the 2024 high school rankings (certified at https://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn);
  • GPA equivalent to an A or higher (for candidates who graduated from high school with a foreign-issued diploma).

2.2.2. Scholarship Examination Schedule

  • Exam Date: April 14, 2024;
  • Registration Deadline: 5:00 PM, April 11, 2024.

2.2.3. Scholarship Exam Structure
Candidates will take two exams in Vietnamese, with the following details:

The passing score for FPT University’s scholarship exam is determined by the President of the Admissions Council.

3. AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIZED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM UNDER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MAJOR

3.1. For First-Year Students (Enrolling in 2024)
FPT Software Company sponsors scholarships with a total value of 900,000,000 VND for students enrolling in the Automotive Technology specialization under the Information Technology major in 2024, who meet one of the following scholarship criteria:

– Or a student in a specialized Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, or Foreign Languages program at national high schools, specialized high schools under universities, or National/Regional Universities.

Notes:

  • The scholarship funded by FPT Software Company can be applied concurrently with all other scholarship, incentive, and loan programs of FPT University.
  • FPT Software Company will directly award the scholarship to students at the beginning of the academic year.
    • L1 scholarships apply to students who win any prize in the National Excellent Student Competition in one of the subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics.
    • The number of scholarships at each level will be adjusted to ensure the total value of the scholarships is 900,000,000 VND. Scholarships are prioritized from L1 to L5 and announced based on the actual number of enrolled students.
    • In cases where multiple students qualify for the same scholarship level, the following criteria will be considered for prioritization:
      • Student’s achievements in the competition, ranked from highest to lowest;
      • Cumulative scores in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Informatics during the three years of high school, ranked from highest to lowest;
      • Time of application submission, with preference given to earlier submissions.

3.2. For Second, Third, and Fourth-Year Students
FPT Software Company will award 5 scholarships, each worth 80,000,000 VND, to the top 5 students with the best academic and training results each year.

4. GENERAL REGULATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

4.1. Application Documents

  • FPT University Scholarship Application Form;
  • Photocopy of ID/Passport;
  • Photocopy of High School Transcript (for applications based on high school results);
  • Photocopy of documents certifying eligibility for scholarships from FPT University;
  • Photocopy of other achievement certificates (if any).

Note: For the “Talent Scholarship” evaluation method, additional application documents as specified in section 2.1.2.1 are required.

4.2. Registration Deadline and Fees

4.2.1. Deadline

  • Submit scholarship applications and registration fees (excluding Educational Encouragement Scholarship in section 1.4, FPTU Age 18 Scholarship in section 1.5, Talent Scholarship through examination in section 2.2, and Automotive Technology specialization scholarship in section 3): by April 14, 2024;
  • Announcement of Talent Scholarship results: May 5, 2024;
  • Submit reservation fees for scholarships (excluding Automotive Technology specialization scholarship in section 3, Educational Encouragement Scholarship, and FPTU Age 18 Scholarship): by June 15, 2024;
  • Submit reservation fees for the Educational Encouragement Scholarship: by June 30, 2024, or until the projected number of scholarships is exhausted;
  • Submit scholarship applications for Automotive Technology specialization in section 3: by June 30, 2024;
  • Submit applications for the FPTU Age 18 Scholarship: by July 31, 2024;
  • Submit applications for Semiconductor Chip Design specialization scholarship: by July 31, 2024.

4.2.2. Registration Fees

  • Registration fee for scholarships (applicable for the Talent Scholarship): 200,000 VND;
  • After approval for the scholarship, candidates must pay a reservation fee of 5,000,000 VND. The reservation fee will be 100% refunded if the candidate enrolls, or 50% refunded if they do not enroll.

4.3. Other Regulations
a. FPT University scholarships are named scholarships and are not transferable to others or convertible to cash;
b. Each candidate can only apply for one highest-level scholarship among the approved scholarship programs upon enrollment at FPT University (except for the Automotive Technology specialization scholarship sponsored by FPT Software Company, which can be applied alongside other scholarships and incentives from FPT University);
c. FPT University scholarships are independent and do not apply concurrently with any other form of incentive from FPT University (except for the incentive program in section II.3);
d. For scholarships valued at 100%+ (tuition and living expenses): the living expense scholarship is 2 million VND/month, awarded only during the study period (including the preparatory English program), and does not apply during any study breaks. The total duration of the living expense scholarship is a maximum of 48 months or until the student withdraws or graduates, whichever comes first.

4.4. Supplementary Documents
In addition to the enrollment documents according to FPT University’s current admission regulations, candidates must submit notarized copies of the achievement documents previously included in their scholarship application.

II. OTHER TUITION FEE DISCOUNTS PROGRAM

  1. 30% Tuition Discount for students who are employees or lecturers (CBGV) or have direct relatives (parents/siblings/children) who are legal dependents of CBGV at FPT Education, currently holding a valid employment contract with FPT Education, while studying all programs offered by FPT Education nationwide (applies according to Decision No. 02/QĐ-CTGDFPT dated January 19, 2022);
  2. 10% Tuition Discount for students with siblings currently enrolled in training programs at FPT Education nationwide (applies according to Decision No. 02/QĐ-CTGDFPT dated January 19, 2022);
  3. 10% Discount on Actual Tuition Fees when enrolling in full-time programs at FPT Education for employees currently holding valid employment contracts with FPT (FPT employees) or their biological children (applies according to Decision No. 695A/QĐ-ĐHFPT dated July 15, 2020).

III. LOAN PROGRAM REGULATIONS
FPT University implements the “FPT University Student Loan” program, allowing students to study first and pay later after enrolling in the full-time undergraduate program at FPT University.

  1. Eligibility and Criteria for Loans
    Candidates wishing to participate in the loan program must meet the following criteria:
  • The family income per person is lower than the regional I minimum wage of 4,680,000 VND/month according to Decree No. 38/2022/NĐ-CP issued by the Prime Minister on June 12, 2022;
  • Graduated from high school;
  • Ranked in the Top 30 of the 2024 high school ranking (certified at https://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn);
  • Successfully pass the interview round at FPT University.
  1. Loan Amount and Duration
  • Loan amounts: 50% – 70% of the total tuition fees per semester for the entire course, with the repayment terms at the interest rate for loans from the Social Policy Bank in effect. After graduation, students are responsible for repayment within 5 years from the graduation date;
  • Students can repay part or all of the outstanding amount or terminate participation in the loan program early.
  1. Disbursement of Loans
  • Disbursement will be based on the actual tuition fees that the student must pay for that semester multiplied by the percentage of the loan granted;
  • The disbursed amount will be deducted directly from the tuition fees the student owes.
  1. Application Documents
    In addition to the enrollment documents for FPT University, candidates must submit the following additional documents:
  • A request letter to participate in the program, signed by the guarantor (the guarantor’s signature must be verified at the local People’s Committee or Notary Office);
  • A photocopy of documents to help the university verify the candidate’s financial hardship;
  • Certificate of the 2024 high school ranking obtained from https://SchoolRank.fpt.edu.vn.
  1. Supplementary Documents
    In addition to the enrollment documents according to FPT University’s current admission regulations, candidates must submit the following supplementary documents:
  • Original or notarized copies of the documents submitted when registering for the loan program;
  • Documents confirming the relationship between the candidate and the guarantor (e.g., birth certificate, proof of residence, etc.);
  • Two copies of the Loan Agreement in the format provided by FPT University, signed by the candidate and the guarantor.
