Surely, when stepping into the university environment, many students hope to have the opportunity to learn and “engage” in various events. For Binh, a memorable experience during his time at FPT University Can Tho was participating in a report at an international conference held in Germany. Let’s listen to Binh’s sharing about his international experience!
Continuous Opportunities to Attend Conferences Abroad
My name is Quoc Binh, and I have just graduated from FPT University Can Tho with a degree in Business Administration, specializing in International Business. I chose this major because of my passion for business and management, and my family had also guided me towards this path. After attending my first international conference in Thailand, I realized how small I still was in the world of academic research. Therefore, I couldn’t miss this opportunity to participate in the conference in Germany, which was also a chance to challenge and train myself in a more difficult journey.
A Research Topic that is Both Familiar and UnfamiliarMy previous research focused on environmental topics, so this time I wanted to explore a topic more aligned with the economic aspect. After discussing with my advisor, Professor Nguyen Trong Luan, I decided to research customer purchasing behavior influenced by brand factors.
My research explores how brand factors such as Brand Awareness, Brand Reputation, and Brand Messaging affect customers’ Purchase Intentions. From this, researchers and managers can use this study as an academic data source for future research and Marketing strategies.
Most of the difficulties I encountered were in the visa application process. Not being fully aware of the necessary procedures and being overwhelmed by work took a lot of my energy during the visa process. I feel that Germany is a place everyone should visit at least once, as it presents a complete contrast to our country in terms of culture, economy, society, and climate.
Unforgettable Memories in Germany
I consulted friends who had traveled to European countries. I noted important things like bringing warm clothes and food from Vietnam. The most impressive thing about Germany for me was its iconic architecture. One of the most stunning architectural sights I encountered was Marienplatz, where I was overwhelmed by the intricate details that have stood for thousands of years.
I would like to express my gratitude to the conference organizers for providing a platform for researchers worldwide to exchange academic ideas. In the future, I aim to continue participating in more international conferences. I hope to find a job in the economic and Marketing field, and that plan will serve as a stepping stone for my upcoming postgraduate studies.
