Five student teams from FPT University have been awarded a scholarship fund worth VND 100 million by Denso Vietnam for their outstanding performance during the Spring 2025 semester capstone project presentations.
On the morning of June 11, Denso Vietnam—a subsidiary of Japan’s Denso Corporation, one of the world’s leading automotive components manufacturers—granted scholarships to students majoring in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at FPT University. The awardees were recognized for their high-quality, practical graduation projects during the Spring 2025 semester. This initiative is part of the cooperation agreement between FPT University and Denso Vietnam, aiming to encourage students to excel academically and innovatively.
Mr. Masahiro Hanji, General Director of Denso Vietnam, emphasized that the scholarships for FPT University students are not only a form of financial aid but also a long-term investment in young talent. He stated, “We are living in an era of rapid transformation. We hope you maintain your passion, continue learning with self-discipline and courage to embrace change. Believe in your potential and welcome new challenges.”
Nguyen Phu Quy, a Software Engineering student at FPT University and a representative of the 25 scholarship recipients, expressed his gratitude to Denso Vietnam. “The scholarship is a great encouragement for us on our journey of learning, development, and future careers. We promise to use this reward effectively to improve our professional skills and knowledge,” he shared.
During the ceremony, FPT University and Denso Vietnam also signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement aimed at fostering high-quality human resources in the field of information technology. This agreement paves the way for expanded development opportunities for students, particularly in enterprise internships, recruitment, training, and scientific research.
Specifically, Denso Vietnam will welcome FPT University students for practical internship semesters at the company, and will consider recruiting academically outstanding students recommended by the university. Furthermore, both parties will coordinate to organize career orientation programs, thematic seminars, and professional discussions to help students gain deeper insights into professional working environments.
Denso Vietnam also commits to supporting FPT University in science and technology activities, including sending experts to participate in academic programs and jointly conducting high-application research projects. Notably, the company will demonstrate its social responsibility by sponsoring annual scholarships and supporting learning promotion, innovative startups, and extracurricular events for FPT University students.
Dr. Ta Ngoc Cau, Vice President of FPT University, stated that in the era of AI advancement, the university is determined to train students to become exceptional professionals capable of leveraging the opportunities brought by artificial intelligence. “To achieve this goal, FPT University constantly strives and firmly believes that the fastest way to keep pace with global trends is through partnerships with leading enterprises. With Denso’s support and the university’s openness and growth potential, this collaboration will yield fruitful outcomes,” said Dr. Ta Ngoc Cau.
Mr. Masahiro Hanji noted that FPT University’s educational philosophy—emphasizing practical experience and technical training—aligns well with Denso’s approach to talent development, which focuses on personal growth through workplace challenges. He affirmed, “This cooperation agreement represents Denso’s strong commitment to accompanying the university in cultivating the next generation of talent.”
With the support of an industry leader like Denso Vietnam, FPT University students are not only empowered to enhance their expertise but also gain valuable access to real-world professional environments, equipping them with solid foundations for a global career.
