FPT University and the National Startup Support Center (NSSC) have officially signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen connections among businesses, academia, and students, while also creating more career opportunities for students.
The signing ceremony took place on the morning of June 12 at FPT University. The event welcomed Mr. Le Toan Thang – Acting Director of NSSC, Ms. Dao Le Phuong Trang – CEO of Agency Fly Communication, Mr. Choi Woojin – CFO of Agency Fly Communication, representatives from KAIST Entrepreneurship Center (South Korea), and faculty and staff from FPT University.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two parties will collaborate closely in three key areas: talent supply, training and scientific research, and social responsibility initiatives.
NSSC will give priority to recruiting students with excellent academic records from majors related to information technology. Additionally, NSSC will participate in job fairs, career orientation programs, career workshops, and professional seminars organized by the university.
The partnership also includes organizing in-depth career guidance programs for students, such as company tours, enterprise culture and process introduction workshops, and specialized dialogues. These activities aim to provide students with clearer insight into real-world work environments, helping them shape their career paths in line with their abilities and goals.
In the field of training and research, both sides will jointly conduct studies, implement high-application projects, and co-organize economic forums, scientific workshops, and academic seminars. FPT University will also assign lecturers and experts as speakers in academic events hosted by NSSC, fostering professional exchange and enhancing practical expertise.
Beyond academic and career connections, the agreement lays the groundwork for community engagement activities. NSSC will consider awarding valuable scholarships to FPT University students, including talent scholarships, scholarships for disadvantaged students, academic excellence awards, and especially startup idea support funds. NSSC will also join in academic and extracurricular events to promote holistic student development.
Dr. Ta Ngoc Cau, Vice President of FPT University, emphasized that entrepreneurship is a challenging journey for young people, requiring support from the government, educational institutions, and the business community to ensure a sustainable and effective path. He stated: “FPT University is honored to receive backing from the Government in supporting and nurturing student-led startup projects. With the collaboration of NSSC and Korean startup centers, we hope to realize many entrepreneurial projects developed and operated by our students.”
The partnership between FPT University and the National Startup Support Center marks a concrete step in the university’s strategy to enhance training quality aligned with real-world practice, while expanding the creative and entrepreneurial space for students. It also reflects both parties’ commitment to building a sustainable learning–research–startup ecosystem centered on student development.
