Following the emotional debut of the music video, the “Let Me Be Vietnamese” challenge officially launched on TikTok on April 29, inspiring patriotism through creative user-generated content.
The MV Let Me Be Vietnamese was officially released in April—an emotionally resonant month marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Composed by musician Truong Quy Hai and newly produced by music producer Nguyen Huu Vuong, the song features a powerful blend of symphony, rap, and traditional Vietnamese instruments like the dan tranh and bamboo flute. The soulful vocals of singer Tung Duong, combined with the heartfelt rap performance by Manbo—an alumnus of FPT University—deliver a rendition that is both grand and intimate, sparking a deep sense of national pride in listeners.
With stirring melodies, emotional lyrics, and the participation of over 1,300 FPT educators, students, and staff, the MV quickly made waves—reaching No.1 on the Zing MP3 Realtime chart within just two hours of release. More than a music video, it is a heartfelt tribute to our roots, a proud affirmation of identity, spirit, and the Vietnamese ambition to rise in a new era.
Building on that inspiration, the “Let Me Be Vietnamese” TikTok Challenge was officially launched, creating a platform for the community to share their pride in Vietnam through creative content on TikTok.
