FPT University Supports 1,000 Freshmen with “Study First – Pay Later” Program

FPT University and FPT Corporation Launch “Study Now – Pay Later” Policy for 1,000 Financially Disadvantaged Students in 2025

FPT University, in collaboration with FPT Corporation, has introduced a “Study Now – Pay Later” initiative for 1,000 students who pass the 2025 university entrance exam and come from underprivileged backgrounds.

Under this policy, eligible students will receive 30–70% tuition support for the entire course duration, with the option to repay the amount within five years after graduation.

Explaining the motivation behind the program, a university representative shared that tuition fees are one of the most decisive factors influencing a student’s choice of university. Despite having strong academic potential, many students are forced to put their university dreams on hold due to financial constraints.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2024, over 120,000 qualified students did not enroll, accounting for 18.13% of the total number of successful candidates. A 2024 survey on VnExpress with more than 11,000 participants revealed that 84% cited “tuition fees exceeding their ability to pay” as the main reason for not enrolling in university.

“The ‘Study Now – Pay Later’ policy is a sustainable financial solution, enabling students to fully pursue knowledge without being burdened by immediate financial pressures,” the university representative emphasized.

This policy is applied to candidates who meet the following conditions: graduating from high school in 2025, eligible for admission to FPT University in 2025; having difficult family circumstances and wishing to participate in the program; achieving the Top 40 ranking of high school in 2025 (certified on the SchoolRank website); having a valid application to participate in the program and approved by the Review Board.

Students can register to pay in installments of 30%, 50% or 70% of the entire course tuition fee. The interest rate for post-payment is equal to the interest rate of the Social Policy Bank for students taking out study loans.

FPT University leaders emphasized that the “Study first – Pay later” policy helps remove financial barriers, and is also a way for FPT University to invest in the future of the country. When learning opportunities are expanded, students with capacity and ambition will be able to develop comprehensively in a modern environment.

“Thanks to that, you will confidently step into the future, become global citizens, and make positive contributions to society,” the leader added.

Previously, FPT University had implemented many policies to support students in difficult circumstances in localities such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Kon Tum, Binh Thuan, etc. Up to now, the unit continues to expand its scale with the goal of not letting any student miss the opportunity to study due to lack of financial conditions.

In addition to flexible financial policies, FPT University awards 2,800 scholarships to talented candidates, exempting tuition fees from one year to the entire course. The school offers 100 Global Expert scholarships, 100% tuition exemption and living allowance of 30 million VND per year. After graduation, students receiving this scholarship are selected to work in 1 of 5 countries: the US, Japan, Korea, Germany and Singapore.

The deadline for registering for the “Study Now – Pay Later” application and scholarship application is before May 15. The school will announce the results on May 25.

Candidates who register for scholarships based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University or the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, please register before July 1 and July 31, respectively. FPT University will announce the results on July 10 and August 10.
