Inspiring together with TEDxFPTUniversity

Many universities have brought the TEDx program to their students, inspiring them on their learning and personal development journey.

TEDx is an independently organized event with a similar ethos to TED – a program representing boundless knowledge and inspiration for young individuals on their quest for learning, exploring the world around them, fostering dialogue, and connecting communities.

Moreover, almost all TEDx speakers are outstanding figures in their respective fields, or individuals with significant influence and impact on culture and society.

TEDxFPTUniversityHCMC 2024 has just taken place at FPT University Ho Chi Minh City campus with the theme “Big Things Start Small”

Recently, TEDxFPTUniversityHCMC 2024 was held at FPT University Ho Chi Minh City campus under the theme “Big Things Start Small,” featuring an impressive lineup of speakers including: Mr. Hiếu PC (cybersecurity expert), Ms. Thạch Trang (content creator), Mr. Dương Minh Long (photographer), Ms. Hoàng Oanh (MC, actress), and Ms. Teresa X. Nguyen (Professor).

Drawing inspiration from the famous quote by Joe M. Easterling: “All big things have small beginnings,” the theme “Start Small” signifies breaking down big goals into manageable tasks to maintain motivation and continue our journey towards achieving our goals.

TEDxFPTUniversityHCMC 2024 was organized by the Skilltecera Club, initiated by a former student of FPT University, Mr. Trần Nguyễn Phước.

The event not only attracted significant attention from young audiences with its experienced speakers but also provided profound insights and inspiration about the journey to success starting from the smallest of actions.

In January 2024, TEDxFPTUniversityDanang 2024 was officially launched for the first time at FPT University with the theme “The Great Surfer.”

The event was successful in garnering interest and receiving positive feedback from students and the audience in the area, featuring an equally impressive lineup of speakers: Mr. Hoàng Nam Tiến (entrepreneur, administrator), Mr. Đoàn Thanh (entrepreneur), Mr. The Jasmine Guy (content creator), Ms. Chấm Lửng (Blogger), and Ms. Hồng Ngọc (outstanding student).

Regarding the theme of the program, “waves” serve as a metaphor for the challenges and obstacles people face; “surfing” is an activity that requires skill and serves as a powerful metaphor for adaptability and readiness to face challenges.

The Great Surfer evokes the image of a strong and resilient athlete confronting the offshore waves, but thanks to flexibility and agility, the waves are no longer a challenge but a catalyst that brings the athlete closer to the shore, closer to the destination of success.

Moreover, FPT University encourages and supports activities that help students maximize their soft skills, adopting a positive, proactive approach to learning, living, and working, as well as recognizing and addressing issues. It is known that TEDx was officially brought to FPT University for the first time in Hanoi in 2021 with the theme “Level up.”

The event’s theme is compared to a “spiritual medicine” that awakens and inspires the ability to adapt and remain calm, living well regardless of the unstable and unbalanced conditions of life, especially right after the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, the event was…
