The “FPT University Student Mathematics Olympiad” is organized to identify and nurture talented mathematics students within the university, promoting a strong academic and research culture among students. The competition has officially returned.
Participating students have the opportunity to be selected as representatives of FPT University for the National Mathematics Olympiad for Students and Pupils in Vietnam, which will take place in Hue in April 2023!
Competition Details:
Subjects: Calculus and Algebra. Students can register for either one or both subjects.
Format: Individual written test, 150 minutes per subject.
Preliminary Round Date: February 25, 2023.
Exam Content:
Algebra: Advanced knowledge in Linear Algebra (MAE101) and Combinatorics, Graph Theory (MAD101 – Discrete Mathematics).
Calculus: Advanced knowledge in Calculus (MAE101 – Mathematics for Engineering). Students from K18 who were former math specialists are encouraged to participate in this subject.
Prizes:
02 First Prizes: 3,000,000 VND/prize/category
02 Second Prizes: 2,000,000 VND/prize/category
02 Third Prizes: 1,500,000 VND/prize/category
06 Consolation Prizes: 500,000 VND/prize
Opportunity: Represent FPT University at the 2023 National Mathematics Olympiad for Students and Pupils in Hue.
