On the evening of December 31, “The Bonding Night” became an opportunity for over 100 members, 4 mentors of Brothers & Sisters 2024, along with the heads and deputies of various clubs, to reflect on the past year and share their emotions.
Sharing to Build Connections and Understanding
“The Bonding Night” was more than just an ordinary gathering. It offered members of the Brothers & Sisters (BroSis) community and FPT University’s clubs a chance to review their accomplishments over the past year while exploring ways to improve and grow in the future.
The event kicked off in a warm and relaxed atmosphere with the participation of over 100 members, BroSis mentors (who are school staff or senior BroSis members with at least three years of experience), and club leadership teams.
One of the most memorable moments of the event was the heartfelt sharing by the mentors, who have always guided and supported their teams in BroSis. They not only offered praise but also provided constructive feedback to help members improve and grow. These valuable insights encouraged participants to reflect on themselves, fostering motivation for personal and team skill development.
Mentor Nhat Duy expressed his pride in a junior member named Loc, who had made significant progress since joining BroSis. Previously withdrawn and struggling to adapt to the school’s dynamic environment, Loc had worked hard and become a better version of himself.
Breaking Down Barriers with Humor
A special feature of “The Bonding Night” was the light-hearted “accusation” sessions among BroSis members and mentors. Humorous anecdotes and tales of minor mishaps during activities sparked laughter and helped dissolve barriers between participants. These moments not only brought joy but also deepened mutual understanding, creating a stronger and more meaningful bond among members.
The gathering was not just a time for relaxation and sharing but also an opportunity to contribute practical ideas for the growth of individuals and clubs alike. In a sincere and open atmosphere, club leaders candidly acknowledged strengths and weaknesses in their operations, proposing concrete solutions to enhance effectiveness and foster development in the coming year.
A New Approach to Mentorship
Ms. Phuong Ha, Head of the International Cooperation and Personal Development Program (ICPDP) at FPT University, expressed her appreciation for the students’ contributions. According to her, the “Brothers & Sisters 2024 Gala” held special significance as it marked the debut of a hybrid mentorship model, where 50% of mentors were experienced BroSis members, and the other 50% were school staff, replacing the previous 100% staff model.
She shared, “Initially, I was worried because this was a novel experiment, and the outcome was uncertain. However, thanks to the collaboration and learning spirit of the students, this model exceeded expectations. It’s a testament to how creativity and teamwork can achieve outstanding results.”
Looking Ahead
Under the dazzling fireworks, members gathered to welcome the transition into the new year. This moment embodied the unity and shared aspirations of BroSis and the clubs, as they aimed for common goals.
“The Bonding Night” was a milestone in the development journey of the BroSis community. It marked a time to review achievements, recognize areas for improvement, and set new goals for personal and collective growth. The event provided a solid foundation for FPT University students to advance in their academic and extracurricular pursuits and to realize their ambitious dreams for the future.
