Recently, at the ISIEA conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the publishing council awarded the Best Paper Award to the research paper by Nguyen Hoang Giang, a Bacth 15 student from FPT University.
The ISIEA conference (2023 IEEE Symposium on Industrial Electronics & Applications) is an annual series of conferences organized under the standards and guidelines set by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). This series has been held for nearly 10 years, with proceedings published on the IEEE Xplore portal and indexed in the Scopus database by Elsevier.
This year, ISIEA 2023 was hosted by Mara University of Technology in Kuala Lumpur, which has 28 campuses across Malaysia. The Labs at FPT University (including SAP LAB and LAB-IA) presented a total of 5 papers, with 2 students participating in the presentations and 8 students listed as authors and co-authors.
A special feature of the IEEE conference series is the publishing council’s voting process, which evaluates submissions based on academic quality, novelty, and applicability to award the Best Paper Award. This year, the research paper on “A Model for Predicting Students’ Likelihood of Disruption in Their Studies” presented by Nguyen Hoang Giang, a K15 student, received this prestigious award.
