The event “Right understanding – Right decision” organized by FPT University on July 13 in Ho Chi Minh City attracted thousands of parents and students from various provinces. At the event, FPT University representatives including Mr. Le Binh Trung – head of the Admissions Board – and faculty leaders presented an overview of the school’s training programs, educational philosophy, academic disciplines, and admission methods.

Many parents showed particular interest in the university’s programs, study options, and especially career opportunities after graduation. Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Lam Huu Khanh Phuong – lecturer in information technology at FPT University – said:
“Students with solid capabilities and strong language skills usually have many suitable job opportunities. At FPT University, we provide maximum support for students to gain practical experience even while still in school, through the on-the-job training semester.”

He added that, in the context of Vietnam boosting investment in high-tech manufacturing, the demand for technology-related human resources is expected to continue rising. This presents valuable opportunities for students pursuing fields in technology, digital engineering, and software.

In addition to academic information, the seminar included campus tours that gave parents and students a direct look at the university’s learning spaces. Visitors were guided around classrooms, the library, department-specific labs, and other learning and living facilities.

Several “learn-by-doing” student projects were also showcased at the event. These are real-world assignments built into the curriculum that reflect the university’s focus on developing applied skills throughout the learning journey.

Representatives from FPT University shared that advisory events and career orientation seminars like “Right understanding – Right decision” are held annually to support students and families during the decision-making process. Through in-person meetings, the university aims to connect parents and students with its lecturers and advisors while helping families better understand its training model and development direction.

Many parents said they had traveled from provinces such as Tien Giang, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong to attend the seminar in Ho Chi Minh City.
“My child is interested in information technology, so this event helped me better understand how the university structures its training, along with academic requirements and career opportunities. This information gives our family a clearer foundation for discussing and deciding on future majors and schools,” shared Mr. Minh Diep, a parent from Ho Chi Minh City.

The event also featured lighthearted activities such as a lucky draw and ticket giveaways for the upcoming FPTU Fest music festival on August 3
