This Saturday morning (October 16, 2021), FPT Edu Global has kicked-off a new virtual program namely “Global Leadership” with the attendance of representatives and students from 5 nations: Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh and India.
This is the first virtual program of FPT Edu Global which gathers the participation of a variety of different countries. The event welcomed representatives from six educational institutions: Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (Indonesia), UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (Indonesia), Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landra (India), United International University (Bangladesh) and FPT University (Vietnam). Speaking at the beginning of the Ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hien – Dean of FPT Education Global sent a warm message and expressed her gratitude towards the guests and students who attended virtually. “The Global Leadership is one of many remote programs run by FPT Education Global during the pandemic. By cross-cultural sharing and team work, we hope that you can actually grasp the chance to change yourself, to grow and to be a better version of yourself.”, Ms. Hien Nguyen said.
All the representatives from partner institutions also shared their honor and delight to collaborate with FPT Edu Global in sending their students to the program and express their willingness to join physical exchange activities when the situation gets better.
During the event, students had an opportunity to share their expectations towards the program and develop their international friendship networks through some warm-up activities.
This afternoon, students started the program with such an important session – VIP TALK: ”What makes a good leader?” with Mr. Leon Gojani – Director of Young Leader Access Program from MCW Global. MCW Global (Miracle Corners of the World) is a non-profit organization with a vision for communities around the world to achieve greater levels of education, improved health, and increased economic security. With the sharing of Mr. Leon, young future leaders will have a better understanding of leadership and the ways to enhance this skill through various activities.
This is the first time FPT Edu Global has launched a virtual program focused on enhancing students’ essential soft skills for leadership. The “Global Leadership” program provides students with the fundamental leadership knowledge including the definition & roles of leadership, culture of leadership, impacts and responsibilities of leadership towards society and many more. In addition, students have the chance to join a range of useful sessions such as V.I.P Talk, Morning Coffee, Sharing session, Project Building with Mentor Guidance and Debates. After the program, students will become a more confident and effective leader. They will know how to build their own personal leadership skills, not only in working and studying but also in their daily life.
