The Online Training Organization FUNiX (member of FPT Corporation) has cooperated with Gunma University (Japan) to build a smart university connection system, which allows students to attend various international universities at the same time.
Smart Campus to Campus (SCC) system aims to build a network of online training universities by utilizing FUNiX’s platform to cross-share learning materials and online courses among member universities.
SCC also creates a facility that allows member universities to recognise each other’s credits, and build a joint training programme that allows students to study and receive accreditation from different universities at the same time, with qualified learning experience on a unified online platform coordinated by FUNiX.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the COO of FPT Software and President of FUNiX – Mr. Tran Dang Hoa shared: “Online education still has many obstacles, but it is the future of education. SCC is a great example – an innovation that allows students to take the best courses from member schools on a single platform.”
Sharing the same view, Gunma University President – Professor Ishizaki Yasuki also affirmed that SCC is an advance in realizing a global online school. “This not only positively affects the future of students, but also has various contributions, such as improving understanding among member institutions through educational and research exchanges.”
SCC is the important development strategy of Gunma University for the next 5 years. It is expected that SCC will have the participation of major universities in the world such as the University of Wollongong (Australia), Keele University (UK), Dalian Medical University (China), etc. FUNiX plays the role of a coordination centre; organising exchange activities and creating a vibrant international student community in an online environment.
On September 16, 2021, representatives of FUNiX and Gunma University with educators from 6 countries around the world agreed to establish the Global Online Educators Community Network with the primary goal of sharing experiences on how to build high interactive online programs.
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic which has greatly affected educational activities as well as international cooperation activities, the use of online platforms such as SCC is considered as an important solution to avoid interruption of training activities and collaboration between universities.
FUNiX – a member of FPT Corporation, is an online programming training organization, which focuses on the software field from basic to academic level which is equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in IT. Students learn online with materials including MOOC sources by prestigious universities and experts around the world, combined with practicing in intensive projects.
During studying, students are supported by IT mentors and by Student Success Advisors (Hannah). The training format of FUNiX provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills, at the same time forming the habits and capacity in self-study in order to match IT enterprises’ requirements.
FuNiX is one of FPT Education Global’s strategic partners. In alliance with FuNiX, FPT Education Global provides the Online IT Training program on Blockchain, AI, Data Science, Machine Learning. For students who already have an IT background, they can take minicourses like DX in Business, Introduction to Data-Driven, and Human Resource Management.
