On the morning of September 30th, representatives from various units attended the preparatory meeting at FPT University for the ACBSP Region 10. The event preparing for the ACBSP Region 10 Conference will take place from February 22nd to February 26th, 2024, at FPT University in Ho Chi Minh City.
With the topic “Be Extraordinary – Emerging Partnerships For Student Success,” the ACBSP Region 10 Conference in 2024 (February 22 – 26, 2024) is a prestigious academic event. This marks the first time that FPT University’s Ho Chi Minh City branch has hosted the ACBSP, aiming to build an academic research community, explore new ideas and actions, and contribute to the development of education and the success of students.
The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is an accrediting body for business schools and programs established in the United States in 1988. It is a global organization that accredits business programs worldwide. Currently, ACBSP is organized into 11 regions with 1,116 Education Members worldwide. Region 10 (South Asia) consists of 55 educational institutions from 10 countries, with 25 of them being accredited.
The preparatory meeting, under the leadership of representatives from ACBSP Region 10, included:
- Dr. Rajesh Khajuria – ACBSP Board Commissioner, Accreditation Governance Board member, FPTU Professor
- Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuan – ACBSP Region 10 Chair, FPTU Vice Rector
- Dr. Trinh Trong Hung – ACBSP Evaluator, FPTU Dean of Faculty Business
- Along with faculty members representing various universities interested in ACBSP Region 10. The meeting took place both in-person and online, discussing various topics related to ACBSP in the year 2024.
Since 2019, the quality of the Business Administration program at FPT University has met the international standards of ACBSP. To achieve educational quality certification, the program had to undergo rigorous assessment processes covering facilities, faculty, curriculum, management procedures, output quality, student support services, and more, according to the standards set by ACBSP. These standards consist of 6 overarching criteria accompanied by 27 level 1 criteria and 61 level 2 criteria.
The ACBSP Region 10 Conference in 2024 (February 22 – 26, 2024) is a reputable academic event, organized for the first time by FPT University’s Ho Chi Minh City branch. The aim is to establish an academic research community, explore new ideas and actions, and contribute to the development of education and the success of students.
