On September 20, FPT University cut the ribbon to launch the first SAP Next-Gen Lab in Vietnam in Room 101R, Hoa Lac campus. The event attracted a large number of staff and students.
The inauguration has witnessed the attendance of Mr. Ta Ngoc Cau – Vice Director of FPT University Hoa Lac campus; Ms. Nguyen Kim Anh – Vice Rector of FPT University; Ms. Josephine Galla – SAP General Manager in Vietnam and Mr. Crispian Tan – SAP Managing Director.
“FPT University has spent time to learn about SAP and cooperation in the past times. The SAP Next-Gen Lab is the first result of the cooperation between the two parties in order to create new opportunities for students to learn new technology, thus enabling FPT University students to quickly integrate into Industry 4.0,” said Mr. Ta Ngoc Cau – Vice Director of FPT University Hoa Lac campus.
Shortly after the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Lab was opened to welcome visitors. The open space of the lab creates a comfortable environment to stimulate creativity for students during the practice. This will be the place where students make graduation projects and real projects in the learning process.
Attending the opening ceremony of the lab, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh – a student majoring in Software Engineering excitedly shared: “I am proud that FPT University owns the first SAP Lab in Vietnam. This will be the ideal practice space for students, especially for Software Engineering students like me”.
In particular, the automotive car and smart bin of Winwin Spiral in the Digital Race 2018 and the Little Team in Vietnam Hackathon 2018 also appeared in the lab on an opening day. Here, two teams introduced their products to SAP representatives and guests in the event. The smart and creative sensors in the technology used by the two teams have inspired and impressed SAP representatives.
Josephine Galla hopes that SAP and FPT University will continue to have important cooperation in the field of technology 4.0
“We bring FPT University the first SAP Next-Gen Lab in Vietnam with the goal of helping students have space to practice. We hope that with this ideal space, FPT students will have intelligent and innovative products that contribute to the technology of the world,” Ms. Josephine Galla – SAP’s General Manager in Vietnam spoke at the event.
At the same time, SAP also held the seminar #Sheinnovates at FPT University with the presence of famous businesswomen in Vietnam and the world. Here, the speakers shared their start-up stories and barriers to starting a business.
