The world’s leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus has just renewed the contract with FPT Software in a project about developing applications for the aviation industry on the Skywise platform. This opens up more opportunities to access international projects for FPT University students when working at FPT Software during the On the Job Training (OJT) semester.
After 4-year of cooperation in promoting the digital transformation of the global aviation industry, Airbus continues putting trust in the technological capabilities of FPT Software and implementing the Skywise Applications Editors Partnership project. FPT Software will provide and deploy a new set of solutions based on Airbus’ Skywise open data platform. The international airlines can optimize their aircraft’s fuel consumption; reduce operating costs; integrate many different functions for logistics, supply chain, crew management, aircraft maintenance and route planning, etc.The product aims to support more than 140 airlines and 9,500 commercial aircraft worldwide.
Based on technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, etc., FPT Software hopes to support Airbus to reach the maximum competitive advantage on the recovery and development after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Borned from a Vietnam’s leading technology group, FPT University inherits the latest top technology from the corporation. Every year, FPT University trains a large number of students majoring in Software Engineering, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence… with all the necessary knowledge and skills to do an internship at FPT Software. in the OJT semester.
OJT is a method of direct training students at the workplace, usually in the 6th semester. FPT University students gain knowledge and skills through self-performing at work and through the guidance and support from experts in where they do the internships.
In the current context, FPT University’s OJT method has worked optimally. Students have the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and develop their abilities in big projects of FPT Software.The practical learning process at the enterprise gives students valuable experiences to enhance their CV. Many cases of FPT University students have signed official working contracts with FPT Software right after the OJT and are directly in charge of working with partners in the US, Japan, Singapore, etc.
After 15 years of developing the On the job training model, the percentage of FPT University students hunted by enterprises after graduation reaches 100%. Apart from FPT Software, the university also signed strategic cooperation agreements with many other international enterprises to send students for internships such as Hitachi, Panasonic, Microsoft, etc.
