It’s a sunny Friday morning in Vietnam. Unlike the beautiful weather, there were teardrops from a country thousand-mile far from Vietnam on the closing ceremony of the Online English Program at FPT Education Global. This will be a memorable moment for all participants on that day when most of the students did not want to say goodbye to the program and with FPT Education Global. “I don’t say goodbye. See you later!” a Japanese student sent a message to the Chatbox.
On August 20, 2021, the Closing Ceremony of the Online English Training program was recently held via Google Meet. The event has witnessed the participation of 29 students from Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) from Japan, Tokyo City University (Japan), Tsuda University (Japan), and Tokyo University of Science (Japan) joined the Online English Training program from August 9 to August 20, 2021.
The Closing Ceremony was also honored to welcome Ms. Reina Nishioka, International Officer from SIT, Ms. Rei Nishizawa, International Officer from SIT, Mr. Masaaki Hodota – International Office Director – Tokyo City University, Mr. Hideki Tachibana – International Office Manager – Tokyo City University, Mr. Hai Vu, Director of Global Mobility at FPT Education Global, all program coordinators, staff, and Vietnamese buddies.
The Online English Training program lasted for 2 weeks has provided the opportunity for students to learn new English knowledge, practice English and make new friends through many attractive activities such as Google classroom, Freetalk, Warm-up Game, Leaderboard, Culture Race, etc.
All students experienced 2 weeks together and throughout the time, there were smiles, surprise, excitement, sometimes it was tiring but they overcame everything to come to the Closing Ceremony.
At the ceremony, all students were happy with the programs and highlighted their improvement in their English language skills. “I had a good time and I’m sure that I will miss the people who I’ve met in this program. Before joining this program, I’m very anxious to talk in English confidently and communicate with new Vietnamese friends. But my anxiety has soon disappeared,” said Ms. Honjo Natsumi – a student from Shibaura Institute of Technology.
She also shared that English Space was the most memorable part that helped her a lot to improve her English with new friends, attractive topics on culture and people. “After two weeks, I no longer feel nervous when speaking English. Thanks to my English class teacher – Ms. Anisah. She’s so supportive and kind. She never complained my weakness and if the English usage is wrong, she wrote correct sentences on the Chatbox”.
After listening to the sharing of Ms. Honjo, Ms. Rei Nishizawa – International Officer from SIT could not hide her happiness to join this event. She sent special thanks to FPT Education Global for organizing this program and giving students opportunity to improve their English and meet new friends.
Mr. Hai Vu – Director of Global Mobility at FPT Education Global also expressed his regret to welcome all Japanese students to Vietnam due to the Covid-19. However, he highlighted the online programs were borned to give Japanese students international learning experience. The Director of Global Mobility at FPT Education Global hoped to see all students in another events or programs organized by the Center.
The Ceremony has closed emotionally with teardrops and the “coming back” promises of students. All of participants knew that this will not be the end. FPT Education Global wishes you happiness, success and joy! We all hopes that this will be a memorable experience and see you again in other program.
