“Friend’s Lounge” is a session in which students can develop their leadership and presentation skills. With the “No teacher – You are the leader” motto, the youth will directly     teach each other about their culture: “Karaoke Challenge” – learn Vietnamese through songs; “Traditional Dance Challenge” – practice the Bruneian traditional dance; and “Language 101”: Mandarin class with Taiwanese students. “My favorite activity is Friend’s Lounge, it’s a really good way to cultivate the relationship between team members and create a wonderful relationship,” said Su Hong Yang (National Chengchi University).

In addition, “V.I.P Talk” is a special workshop to understand more deeply about the culture of Vietnam and Brunei. As for the guest speaker, Ms. Luong Tra My of FPT Education Global and Ms. Noralipah Hj Mohamed – a representative from UBD shared about the cultures of the two nations.

Especially, “Culture Exchange” is the most anticipated activity of the program. This is a culture competition with exciting competitions including Warm up – showing teamwork with performance videos prepared in weeks ago; Starting round – presentations on topics relevant to young people; Get quick get correct – answering questions about culture in very hurry time; Global Masterchef- experiencing cooking Vietnamese dishes like Spring rolls and Banh xeo – (Vietnamese traditional pancakes).

“It’s a good chance for me to participate in Global Connect Week. Through this program, I can make friends with many Bruneian and Vietnamese students and I think they’re all kind and friendly. I love all the activities because they are well-prepared and enjoyable. This is such a memorable experience this summer. We’ve learned a lot from each other.” –  Ya Jun Huang (Providence University, Taiwan) shared.

Although “Global Connect Week”  is a very new-born program, it has been very successful in spreading the image of FPT Education Global – a global, dynamic and professional educational center. Apart from bringing an impressive experience of online learning, the program is also a cultural bridge between students from Vietnam, Brunei, and Taiwan and strengthens the partnership with FPT’s Taiwanese and Bruneian university partners.
