2014: FPT University pioneered bringing traditional musical instruments into teaching at Hanoi Campus
2020: FPT University launches teaching traditional musical instruments nationwide with 4 types of musical instruments: Erh, flute, zither and lute
2022: The subject is expanded at 5 FPTU campuses and traditional music is included in the official curriculum
January 2022: FPT University adds 2 new musical instruments to the educational program: Bau and pipa
March 2022: FPT University begins implementing the community project “Bringing the subject of Security and Information to high schools”: There are 46 lecturers teaching 8 musical instruments on 5 campuses, 62% of students are learning 1 traditional musical instrument at school
August 2022: Establishment of traditional music department under the Training Department of FPT University in City. Ho Chi Minh

Purpose and meaning:
- Expand the traditional music training program widely for students in the Ho Chi Minh City area.
- Supplement and expand knowledge about traditional musical instruments for students studying at FPT University, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Improve students’ access to traditional ethnic music.

Performance of ethnic musical instruments combined with Cai luong art at the HCMC Post office
Continuing the journey of spreading traditional music values of the community project Bringing Traditional Musical Instruments to Schools, the program recently had a special destination: Ho Chi Minh City Post Office. In the atmosphere of City Tourism Week. HCM is taking place here, the program seems to contribute to diversifying the national cultural colors of the series of activities.

1000 AUDIENCE: Thousands of audiences of all ages, including foreign tourists, expressed their excitement and enjoyment with the traditional sounds of Vietnam.
